Wait, all these latest rumors bout Turkoglu .. Are we gonna trade for Turkoglu AND Arenas?

Since when is it allowed to have 2 basketballs in the game?

Lewis for Arenas makes a lot of sense. Blowing our load with Carter/Gortat for Arenas doesn't. A Nelson/Arenas back-court would be....

If nothing happens today, it's really going to be weird watching the team play tonight.

Funny, a couple of years back, Arenas for Vince or Rashard would've been world news  now it's more like:

This thread actually has legs because Otis loves Gil and rumors about trading for him have been around ever since Gil was suspended.

As for CP3, that was just wishful thinking by everyone (media included) and everyone just speculated that NO management would fold. Plus CP3 never officially came out and said he wanted out. And he has 2 years left, so he absolutely has no leverage to demand a thing since he's not just going to walk away or stay at home and not get paid.

what legs?? the link between Otis and Gil back in their GSW days? or the fact that this 'rumour' keeps 'popping up'?

it's probably poor form, but i never really bother following links back to articles. so even during the CP3 storm of rumours i never actually bothered to see who was reporting on them. mostly because i don't think there are many people with the privilege of having inside info, and, as i said, when have we ever really known what Otis was going to do, especially re: trades???

BelgianMagic wrote:Well, I can't remember any big website or writer mentioning Chris Paul to Orlando back then, but now, the Carter/Arenas rumors are floating around on all big websited and writers are all writing bout it .. Last time it was just a member here claiming to have sources .. Everyone said he was reliable but I don't think I've seen him here ever since that night ..

what major websites are reporting Arenas to Orlando? the most major, ESPN, certainly isn't. and of the other 'majors', how many times have they reported a similar rumour, if not the same one?

i'm not trying to rain on anyone's parade, i'm just saying i saw all of this during the summer of CP3, and it's all the same again.

i think something will happen, but i don't think it will be Arenas. i could be wrong, and i'm not prepared to eat my words if i am. but i don't think it will happen.

of course not, its someone with "sources" as always..

someone had "sources" re CP3 too.

CP3's sources was some guy that may/may not have existed whom may/may not have known CP3

This is more legit

I give a f^*^. He could be an integrate part of a championship winning team here and he's still marginally young at 28. I would dance in the rainy streets or Orlando today if we magically unload Lewis's contract and acquire Gil. DO IT OTIS!!

Don't ever expect ESPN to have the scoop on anything. They're just really quick at relaying the same stuff.

Lol. Arenas is a small SG who doesn't play defense. He jacks up shots at a low % and has never and will never be a legit playmaker.

You unload Lewis contract and basically get a similar contract back....but for 2 extra years.

And the best part is, he is a headcase and injury prone.

This would be an excellent trade for Orlando, no doubt!

Yahoo .. Adrian Wojnarowski is as far as I know a very good writer and would never post something that he hasn't checked ..
