Carmelo is the answer, dont go for the scrubs like Arenas, J-Rich, Turk ...

Nelson, Carmelo and Howard its an excellent core, a championship big 3.

There hasn't been a whisper about Jameer.
Unless Dwight gives the 'ok', there's no way Mighty Mite is gone. Either way, Jameer is too valuable to us to trade. You can still bring Nash in and make it work.

RT @AlexKennedyNBA: One source says Gilbert Arenas to Orlando is done with an announcement expected tomorrow and debut on Monday. Still no word who Wizards get.

The last year of Hedo Turk´s contract has guarantied "only" 6 millions, this is the true.

B/c we're still stunned about Lewis' probable departure, let's note that Brandon Bass and Ryan Anderson will be big-timers if this happens.

Probable ?? If that happens itd be SOOOO EPIC

and yeah I agree, Anderson + Bass would be great.

I am soooo on the same page with you here. (literally and figuratively)

Yeah, I want Bass as permanent starting PF and Ryno getting the chance at full backup PF.

This is make or break for Smith. This either works, or Dwight leaves in 2012 and he is fired. Good luck to you guys. (Raptors fan)

That's from 11 hours ago last night.
11/18/2017 - I have officially disowned Nikola Vucevic and branded him a loser.

- Skal Labissiere was my guy in 2016 pre-trade. Whoops, but I still believe.
- Malik Monk was my guy in 2017. Whoops(?)
- Mo Bamba was my guy in 2018. TBD.

Gotta disagree with you there. Love Melo's rebounding at the 3, but offensively he is nothing but a guy who takes a lot of shots. And for anyone who wants to argue that, the stats back me up completely.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, these moves are ultimately gonna lead to Dwight leaving. Lebron, Bosh, Amare, Boozer, and now Paul/Melo have set the precedent. But I guess it's a lose-lose when Dwight's the one demanding something happen. Players should always STFU and just play. Could you imagine if the Lakers caved into Kobe's demand to ship Bynum out?

Definitely agree. Although it will be interesting to see Hedo back here if that does happen since that's all Magic fans have ever wondered since he left. People's expectations went way to high after that finals run. It's amazing how if KG played in that series how everyone's perception would be changed.

Can someone explain to me why Phx would take Vince over JRich? Like I said earlier this thread, aren't they still in the playoff hunt, and JRich is a big part of it?

Sure they get out of Hedo, but they don't need Gortat with Robin being the better C.

The reason that started all the rumors:

http://www.orlandosentinel.com/sports/o ... 7630.story

Smith's interest in making a deal appears to have increased now that the Magic have lost five of their last six games, including three of four on their recently completed West Coast road trip.

"I circled the West Coast trip on our schedule a long time ago," Smith said. "The West Coast trip, to me, was going to decide whether or not we're going to either fix our woes or continue down the same path. I don't think we've played particularly well leading up to the West Coast trip. So, we were on the West Coast trip and some of our woes continued, so you start to explore opportunities that are out there." Speculation about a deal between the Wizards and the Magic has popped up intermittently ever since the summer, with Smith denying talks about Arenas each time -- until today.
Dwight Howard on his FT struggles:

"I just think everybody needs to stop talking about it," Howard said. "There's more to life than free throws."

Arenas did not speak to reporters at shootaround in Washington this morning, but nothing unusual there.

stevekylerNBA RT @MrMichaelLee: 2 more sources Gilbert Arenas-to-ORL trade talks have heated up. deal isn't imminent; Arenas expected to suit up vs. MIA

stevekylerNBA RT @Swami_King: Otis is considering getting J-Rich because fans don't want Gil? --- J Rich is an ending deal that fits the system better.
