You guys should bench Meer. It should be Gil-Rich-Turk-Bass-Howard. or maybe start another 4 to spread the floor but I wouldnt start Meer & Gil. Gil can run that point, trust me

I will set stuff on fire, if we bring in Arenas and Hedo.

To me, it makes no sense to pull the trigger on anything until the chips fall on the Carmelo situation. Why make some rushed, desperation trade right now if there's still some hope of snagging what we really need? It smacks of Obama just caving into McConnell & Boehner's stupid wealthiest-two-percent taxcut extension thing to get something done before congress lets out.

SO essentially the peices being shipped are Lewis to Washington for Arenas and H. Armstrong?

And

Vince, Gortat, Q. Rich to Pheonix for Jason Richardson, Hedo Turkoglu

That leave us with
PG Jameer/J.Will/Duhon
SG Arenas/JJ/Pietrius
SF J.Richardson/Hedo
PF Bass/Anderson
C Dwight/Armstrong

Maybe Pietrius and Frye are involved?

I'm a hearing from a source that Pietrus may be heading to Phoenix too. Trying to verify.

I may be in the minority here, but I actually like that Phoenix deal as long as we get a replacement backup center. Gortat is good, but he can easily be replaced considering we don't need a ton of production out of our backup center. Vince flat out hasn't worked out here. Hedo at least knows how to play with us, and J-Rich is having a heckuva season. My only question is if we then traded Lewis for Arenas we're looking at a team with a core of Nelson/J-Rich/Arenas/Hedo/Dwight. J-Rich and Arenas really are both twos on this team.

bench Meer or you guys arent beating those elite teams. Its too small and Gil plays better with the ball

Trading a top 15 point guard for a backup center for Dwight Howard? That makes a lot of sense.

Only reason I'm saying something is because this deal makes no sense for Jameer.

**NBA RUMORS** Orlando Magic about to make the 1st major shakeup of the NBA Season > Several rumors coming out of Orlando Carter , Lewis etc

**NBA RUMORS** Knicks may benefit from the aftershocks of the Orlando Magic shakeup - Teams getting in mood to wheel and deal
CHA still has interest in getting a better point guard than Augustin. Jameer/others for Jax or Crash sounds pretty fair for all involved.

I'm down with Meer being a sixth man. Just don't think he would.

but it also gives us another slasher. jrich isn't a slouch when it comes to driving. he's also athletic. although im a little uncertain about his defense.

Ok I admit it. I felt sorry for the guy for the first time ever. He did look a bit stressed. I gave him the go ahead on Arenas for Shard though so he knows some redemption can come his way. If He gets that done and gets another piece for Vince I'll give him a solid grade for the season.

and since yeah he did look a little down in the dump in that interview I'll be his fan for the rest of the season ( you heard it here first) if the Vince part of the equation is something decent.

I'm sure that will cheer him up.

top 15 means that half the teams in the league already have better point guards. acquiring an insurance policy for the best C in the league is the smarter move.

i'm slowly warming up to the idea of having

arenas
jrich
hedo
bass
dwight

as a starting five while

j-will/duhon
redick
pietrus
ryno
(Guy we acquire for jameer)

come off the bench

Deal is said to now be Vince, Gortat and Pietrus to Phoenix for Jason Richardson, Hedo and 1 more. Also said to be "done".

Let's see.

Yeah I've warmed up to this idea quite a bit. I'd love to get Arenas and Hedo. 2 guys that can handle the ball and make plays for others. and then in Arenas, Hedo, and JRich we get 3 guys that can put the ball in the hole. That's a good trade for us.

So we could potentially be looking at:

PG: Arenas
SG: JRich
SF: Wallace/Hedo
PF: Bass
C: Dwight
