What are the Magic doing? This is like what Portland tried to do in 2000, getting a bunch of past their prime 'stars' who were no longer interested in doing the little things that help you win. Who's guarding Kobe? Arenas or Nelson? Which one guards DWade? This is terrible for you guys. The quality of players you are getting...bleh. I hope it works out, I really do, I'd love to see the Magic win a title, but this roster.... no way. It absolutely will not work.

The Orlando Magic, already in serious trade talks with the Washington Wizards about acquiring Gilbert Arenas, have agreed to a deal in principle with the Phoenix Suns, according to league sources.

The trade returns former Magic star Hedo Turkoglu, along with Jason Richardson and Earl Clark, to Orlando in exchange for Vince Carter, Mickael Pietrus, a 2011 first-round pick and cash considerations

Carter and Gortat for Richardson and Turkoglu is not a good trade in my opinion for the Magic. Richardson does know what defense is and Turkoglu makes Richardson look like a defensive specialist. Who plays center when Howard is in foul trouble or needs a spell?

Arenas for Lewis is a great trade for the Magic. Seems odd to pair Nelson and Arenas together so that trade would beg the question what happens to Nelson. Then again Arenas seems to play ok with Wall and Nelson is definitely not a scoring PG like Nelson.

If the Magic just did the Arenas/Lewis trade and held off on the other trade I'd feel much better about their prospects.

I like the Phoenix trade. I can understand people being wary of Hedo, but we're also ditching Pietrus, who has his moments but does stupid things as well. Not to mention we do get a player who may be better for our team in Richardson.
