Well seeing as how Orlando desperately needed someone to come in and facilitate their offense, getting Hedo back makes sense. With Rashard for Arenas, you're trading one bad contract for another, but Arenas has the greater chance of being productive with Dwight. Richardson is a nice piece to have and at this point is probably at the very least as good as Carter if not better. They should look to move Nelson now, get a more traditional point guard and a starting forward, but this is one huge overhaul for a team that's just two years removed from the Finals.

I like this trade as basketball fan and a Laker fan. On hand, if this deal works out, the Magic can be pretty darn good. If it doesn’t, aside from the hilarity of watching the Magic combust, Dwight is almost certain to leave Orlando and maybe he'll pull Shaq and take his talents to the West Coast.

The Magic going all in on this one, it's a win-win for everyone.

Lewis' contract ends a year earlier than Arenas. Clears a guard off their roster making more room for Wall/Hinrich.

If the Suns/Magic deal goes through it will likely reignite speculation that Steve Nash could be traded.

The question is, who trades for Nash? It obviously won't be Orlando. Most other borderline contenders are set at point guard.

I don't get that, the idea that a Nash trade is more probable.

The Suns have improved this season. They're a better team now than 1 hour ago.

and no team will win with VC and lewis as their starters

they had to turn the roster over, that team had pretty much maxed out and hit the wall now

The Magics won 59 games with VC and lewis as they're starters..

Arenas, Hedo and Nelson on the same team is odd no? Hedo was at his best handling the ball. Could Nelson be moved?

I don't know if replacing them with Hedo Turkoglu and Gilbert Arenas makes that statement any different.

What is their ultimate goal?

They simply aren't good enough to make a meaningful run in my opinion.

If you had to pick a GM for your team, would you rather have Bryan Colangelo or Otis Smith? At this point I'm leaning towards BC.

From what I can tell from the games that I watched, Richardson is a much better player at this point then Carter. This is purely financial from Suns point of view IMO>

There aren't that many teams who are contending that have a big need at the point... I don't think that there would be any good offers for him.

All in all I think Nash is set in Phx.

Iverson hasn't been good for 3 seasons, and even when he was good he would've been useless to 90% of teams in the league because they actually had more than 1 player who wanted to shoot the ball. It's got nothing to do with people being puritan idiots, but when an inefficient chucker who relies on his speed suddenly gets slow, he then has no appeal left to anyone.

I don't get it,

why do you need JRich if you're gonna trade for Arenas and vice versa? And in process trade your only PF (Lewis) and getting even softer one in Hedo?

Otis just doing a change for the sake of the change.
