espn just announced it on tv and said gortat is not included, just pietrus and carter... so what's the real deal?

Arenas is a scoring PG. I can't see him and Nelson coexisting that well, unless Arenas fully buys into Van Gundy's gameplan. I think either trade alone would have been okay, but both of them... yikes. That can dictate the course of this franchise for the next 5 years in a good or bad way. Either way I'm gonna be tuning into some Magic games. I'm as giddy to see them play as the Heat at the start of the season

The deal is worse for the MAgic than I thought. ESPN is saying this is the deal:

The trade returns former Magic star Hedo Turkoglu, along with Jason Richardson and Earl Clark, to Orlando in exchange for Vince Carter, Marcin Gortat, Mickael Pietrus, a 2011 first-round pick and cash considerations.

Wizards Trade was good. You got a guy who if healthy will make this trade look very good. Lewis was on a downward spiral.

Phoenix Trade is questionable. Main reason is you gave us Gortat and Pietrus who are two beneficial assets off the bench + took back Hedo's awful contract. Earl Clark is not good, and as well you gave up a pick which more or less is not that big of a deal. Meanwhile Richardson will definitely be overpaid this summer if you want to keep him otherwise you could lose him completely and get stuck with a very bad trade.

That does work under the trade checker. If that's true, it's a little better, but still not great.

That makes the deal better. We can then flip jameer and gortat if we need to later... maybe for.... carmelo? Just wishful thinking though

Still don't understand why not go after iggy for VC though.

The only way i would be cool with Hedo is if he came off the bench.....If Hedo has to be here then he'll be here but i don't want no part of him in the Starting Lineup

The topic of this should be changed. Even if it happens in the next five minutes, we have no proof that the Arenas deal is done. Richardson/Hedo/Clark, yes. That's been announced. But Rashard/Arenas has not been reported as done yet.

That Second trade has really pissed me off....

I mean come on my Richardson was good but The Hedo is straight garbage.

This wasn't a good deal

I would have been happier if A.I.2 or Gerald Wallace was added in a deal.

word I agree. This is a really good trade. We get something we were really lacking in playmakers and great passers. I bet Dwight really excels with Hedo and Arenas here. Also, JRich is an upgrade over VC. Hedo will be huge for us here in this system and Arenas and JRich are 2 guys that can put the ball in the hole. I'm excited about this.

Our starting lineup/rotation should be interesting. I don't expect Clark to be in, at least not at first.

I hope we don't shove Hedo into PF. Wasn't working out for him in PHX.
