I bet Otis did try to go after Iggy, but was rebuffed. In all, great trades for the Magic! I don't like Gilbert. Hedo is not great, and J-Rich is kind of old, but all of them fit with the team's system and style, that's what makes this trade great!

The Suns trade is just awful. Otis must be real desperate.

Not only do you trade Vince Carter for one of the few guys who plays even less defense, but you also trade a legit 7 footer, who'd start on a lot of teams for Hedo and his horrific contract. On top of that you add a future 1st and cash. So bad.

The Wizards trade I'm fine with.

Nothing is confirmed yet. But, Dudley is biding farewell to fans on his Twitter. Thus, there might be more or differences as per reports.

I don't know why some of you are unhappy. I think this has the potential to be badass. Who can outscore this team once if gels? And we all know Stan can get some kind of team defense out of these guys. We all knew Dwight was the only good defender on the team.

And why are people overating gortat so much? He will be 10 and 10 player every other game for them and his play on defense in one on one situations is really missing.

For now, until people get comfortable, the rotation in my eyes:
C: Dwight, Malik (5-10 minutes), Orton (Hurt, IR)
PF: Bass, Ryno, Clark (Not active until he puts on some muscle)
SF: Hedo, Q-Rich
SG: J-Rich, Gilbert, Redick
PG: Jameer, Gilbert, J-Will, DuDu

Yeah, the first rounder in addition is atrocious. I always disliked Hedo here

If we keep Gortat then I feel a little better. Not really because I think he's so great, but because he could be turned into something later and I think we need as many bigs as we can get to go at Boston, Miami and LA. Can't wait to see what SVG does with these guys.

+1 and it's not like VC and Lewis were outstanding defenders to begin with. MP is suspect...
