Jose Bautista - Twittergate

Post#1 » by MGD24 » Sat Dec 18, 2010 7:03 pm

Apparently he deleted his twitter. The rumour is he spoke too much about the Jays or deals they could make.

I was following him but his account is gone so I can't see what was written but this is the feedback I am hearing...

@bluejaysbatboy
I guess Bautista got in trouble for stating his opinions on twitter. He should play it safe like Cecil who tweets about shooting things.

@bluejaysbatboy
Just explained to me. He talked baseball! Nothing controversial. Bet you someone at Rogers Wilnerized him.

@McGowansChops
He was tweeting about not trading Snider, and that he would play 3B but prefers RF. I dunno, maybe he just didnt like twitter.

Are the Jays cracking down on what the players are posting?

i read his tweets before they were deleted, he said nothing that was too controversial. He said Grienke would be a great addition to any team, he said he wouldn't trade Drabek and Snider for him and that he would prefer to play rightfield

Greinke would be a great addition for any team, word on the street is that Royals want a lot in return...

i wanna know what the fans think....what is the Jays biggest need right now? 1st base, Closer or Starting Pitcher? Ideas?

joeybats19 Jose Bautista
I'll play wherever the team wants me to, but as i have said before: I think i'm more helpful to the team in RF

joeybats19 Jose Bautista
i wouldn't trade Snider and Drabek, but that's just me...

I is actually understandable....... imagine this:

- obviously AA would never to a Drabek/Snider deal for Grienke, but just "if".... i mean "if"...obviously, never, but think, "if" AA went down that road, how bad would that look. Both on the part of AA and Grienke himself. (because of Bautista's comments)

- or if AA chooses to trade Snider, (i dont think he will), but just assume for a second. Bautista's comments make AA's decision look bad. (because of Bautista's comments)

u have to keep the options always open.... u never know what could pop up tomorow and change ur whole plan....... never say never. Just keep options open

-------------------------------------------------------------

Jose Bautista has established a reputation as a star player for JAYS fans base..... his comments mean alot

Agree with everything he said on twitter as stated above. However, it could make AA look bad so it was cancelled.
Organization can be defined as an organized body of people with a particular purpose. Not random.

I hate how everyone adds the gate suffix to anything controversial.

And OP this isnt an attack at you. Its a cultural thing.

I actually "stole" it from another twitter users post....I was too lazy to think up something better.

I understand the hate though
