Arenas/Nelson backcourt? sick, and we finally have a point with size.
Richardson/JJ? straight fire power, JRich IS an upgrade over VC in every way.
Hedo/Q? Hedo is an upgrade over MP and Q, plus we all know what Hedo can do for us.
Bass/Anderson. People were calling for this before the trade.
Howard. Beast.

Look at that depth. Do any of you really care about losing Carter, Gortat, or MP? None of them were vital for us. Also think about these three guys playing with a fire lit under their ass. This is nuts.

We win.

J-Rich is a much better fit for this team than Vince Carter was. That's a huge difference.

Ugh, the more I think about the Phoenix deal, the more I worry. VC for J-Rich fine. But Gortat+Pietrus+1st for Hedu and Earl Clark? FOR REAL?!!!!!

So what is your overall opinion on these trades? You've been pretty vocal about us needing a change (which I agreed with).

I agree we could have got more, especially with Gortat involved!

Yes, J Rich will avg lower stats, energy levels might help though :-)

16-9 and spent most of the season in 1st place in SE. So we struggle for 6 games and we BLOW THE TEAM UP. Lets think about that for a second. Yea, we panicked.

Agreed on that front. J-Rich is an upgrade to Carter (both in terms of athletic skill and spot up shooting ability). He can play the no. 3 option role to a TEE.

But giving up Gortat, MP and a 1st for Turkey Glue and Earl Clark is what pains me.

Deezy wrote:Looking at our lineup...

- Dwight has C locked down.

- Jameer is the starter at PG until further notice.

That leaves two positions open for three players. Arenas likely won't come off the bench, so you can pencil him in at SG. So, then it's down to J-Rich or Hedo at SF.

My question: Is a lineup of Jameer/Arenas/J-Rich/Bass/Howard with Hedo as a 6th man playing starters minutes good enough to beat Miami, Boston, or LA?

I Do think that lineup can beat any team, getting back hedo is crazy but i actually dont have as much of a prob with it as some. He will be happy/motivated to play with dwight and meer, and swapping shard for arenas is as good as your gonna get with his horrid contract.

Getting rid of VC+PEACHES!!+Gortat(who we all can agree has been sucking it up) is addition by subtraction.

Dont forget people, With Arenas and Turk we gain 1 think besides scoring we DIDNT have.... PASSING, Ya!! i said it, Passing!!! We were the worse passing elite team in the history of the NBA and now we can do some things. Also dont cry cuz we didnt get Melo/CP3/Iggy, Ur a idiot if u believe otis woke up today and said to Denver/76ers GM " Melo/Iggy, for gortat and VC?? NAWWWW... I like Turk bro's "

I LIKE THE MOVES WE'VE MADE AND CANT WAIT 2 SEE OUR NEW TEAM AND DWIGHT FLOURISH WITH A FEW MORE PEOPLE 2 GET HIM THE BALL IN THE P&R

GO MAGIC!

Exactly.

That's the part that scares me. Not that Gortat or Pietrus are anything special, but I don't think it was worth taking on Hedo's ugly contract unless we got a pick or young player (in addition to Clark).

From an outsiders perspective...I think you guys "done good". As a Celtic fan I can tell you that for the last 3 years (including his time in Charlotte) JRich has been a match up nightmare for the Celtics. I'm not sure if he has something personal against the Celtics in general or Pierce in particular, but he relishes giving them/him the business.

STFU loser.

My fam is the one w/ the season tickets that's supporting this bullsh*t so I'm a voice my opinion.

Calm down buddy. Just giving you a hard time. Why are you so opposed to trading Rashard though?

My bad dude just frustrated.

I thought we needed tweeks at SF not a complete overhaul.

I think this is a panic move.

Well said. We truthfully don't lose a lot of production for what we will get. The risk is the health and the contracts of Arenas and Hedo, mainly Arenas.

I agree, BUT the Gortat, MP and 1st for Hedo and Clark could just be a deal in waiting for something else too. Gortat did sign a large contract too, yes we could have got more for him but i see Hedo and Clark as more expendable so this could be shaped for a deal down the line......i hope anyway.
