We get Toronto's 13th pick and second round pick this year and we get a 4th round pick in 09.
Plus we get more cap space to use. I love this deal, good trade DW.

Of course you do
I don't like it at all for the Leafs.
Bell is a bum and making way too much money.
Toskala is pretty good, but now you've ruined Raycroft's confidence, he is now useless but making a ton of money for years to come.
Plus, what can you Shark fans tell me about Toskala's health history?
It seems like he's missed tons of time over the years with groin problems.
Is this a Hasek situation where Leaf fans are always going to be worried about Toskala missing large chunks of time with groin problems or am I overreacting?
I really wanted the Leafs to take Esposito at 13, so if he's already gone I'll like this trade better.
I suspect you guys will wait to get the pick until 2008 anyways, since it's a way better draft. But then again, the Leafs will quite likely be picking in the 15-20 range next year instead of 13 since Toskala will win them more games than Raycroft did, so who knows what Wilson will decide.
If a guy like Esposito is around at 13, you'll probably keep the pick this year.

It got us Logan Couture... who I'm a big fan of. I think he'll see some ice time in 2008. His good 2006/07 in the minors is highlighted by the fact that he had mononucleosis in the beginning of the season.
What worries me about that pick, however, is that Logan is a pure C. He shouldnt ever be on the wings - hes just too good a passer. With Pavelski on board, Goc and Curtis Brown likely to stick around, and of course, Super Joe... that leaves one C with a hefty salary. This pick actually might sway me to be ok w/trading Marleau, so long as we get Drury out of it... Drury - Thornton - Cheechoo would be a nightmarish line.

I love it for the Sharsk, being able to dump 3.25 million in salary, and get 3 draft picks for him, i love it.....they would have gotten nothing for them and in 2 years they would have no Bell, no Toskala and no 5.25 million
Great Basketball site I've been working on
