Far cry from his look of despair and disbelief when his friend told him he was coming here on draft night. LOL "What? Minnesota? No!!!"

Just another in a long line of NBA players who fear coming here but then love it after a handful of months.

I am always kinda curious why this is only really brought up in Basketball and not football and baseball.

Sure, basketball season is during the winter, but you spend about half your time away from this place and you play indoors.

They should lock him and Love up as soon as possible.

Money talks ... he is not a $10 million player yet (IMO) until he makes some strides. I'd like to see it all work out, but if he has expectations of a big long-term deal based on his current level of play, then I'm not very optimistic. I'd like to see him turn it up a few notchs and make this one of the biggest steal in NBA history.

NBA players are some of the most high maintenance athletes in the world.

I am really glad we'll have another year with Beas before we need to do the contract dance with him. He could continue to develop toward amazing or stumble and remain inconsistently brilliant. Those are two very different players and deserve very different contracts.

It's good he likes it here, though. It makes a point that this can be a fun place to be.

For my money, the real prancing ponies are the gossipy and groupthink ninnies in the national NBA commentariat.

He's had a great start to the season and looks like he's finally matured a bit. He was never given enough minutes in Miami and it's great to see us exploiting their mistake, he's an absolute steal as far as the trade was concerned. Beas has always had the potential and hopefully he can concentrate on taking it to the maximum instead of blowing his career up **** creek where many good prospects have ended up.

Male or female personal assistant with burly arms?
