How is our season in jeopardy?

Because we have a great coach, great defense, and don't rely on small ball.

its a very misleading record and we all all know it

mostly beat minnow teams while literally playing the starters all game long....that strategy works for the short term, but not over the course of a season or against top teams like bos

We nearly beat Boston (In fact we did, the scorekeeper beat us  ). Of course it won't make us contenders, or even a serious 2nd round team. But to say our season is on the ropes right now is an overstatement. Especially when we know the team we have now is not the one we are going into the playoffs with.

"...Starks didn't seem to be against the thought of a team putting together a massive package :o to acquire an elite player.

"It's happened before in the past and it worked out," Starks said, "depending on what player you're going after and what you have to give up. That's the business that's we're in. You sometimes have to give up a little bit more to get the type of player that you want."

Okay, so now I'm a little concerned how much we're going to give up in this potential deal.

Knicks have definitely maximized Landry's value time to cash it in

I think giving up Landry allows us to keep Chandler. Amar'e, Melo, Felton and Chandler as your top 4 is pretty good.

I will miss you Landry, we hardly knew ya.

I think all Knicks fans need to ask themselves if in three years the core of Gallo Chandler and Fields will get us a Championship. We can always pull a Miami and sign aging Vets or even draft a few more Seniors and get lucky that way. This is a STAR driven league.

They get more calls

They get more respect from opposing coaches.

They give an organization a clear direction allowing for pieces to compliment them.

We would have two superstars.

Champs are won by the big players.

first of all no need to over pay, I can one young players +expiring and draft picks but to give up fields/+Chandler+randolph+ picks little to much drop the picks and I think about it. You just gave two legit young players n this league+ the promise of more when he could be signed in the off season for nothing. That is why Donnie is the GM the longer he waits the better the price.
