So yeah I'd consider Nash for top tier PF talent. I said it before but something like Nash/Warrick for Bibby/JSmoove/Pick. But of course any Nash trade from my standpoint is if and only if he basically asks out.
I said extended Chris Paul because there's no way the Suns get anything worth trading Nash away for back. I was saying that Nash's value is n/a since Sarver will never trade him off, and for good reason.

Nash has zero trade value. why? cause he's not going to be traded. has been stated in the offseason, preseason, and early in the season. will be stated after christmas and probably towards the end of the season, and then one more time in the playoffs.

Re: Nash Trade Value
Nash is the symbol of Phoenix, not even the Suns, but the whole frikkin city. Sarver knows this, and Sarver knows Nash makes him the most money. The Suns would have no icon once Nash is gone.

And they'd be a much poorer team, regardless of who gets brought in... unless, like I said earlier, it was an extended CP3. which will never happen.

Okay I was a bit premature on the locking the thread bit. Probably a knee-jerk reaction because the offer made by the OP was ludicrous.
If this season and next looks hopeless I would hope the FO pairs Nash and Hill in a trade to a true contender. They're both top shelf players and human beings and deserve another shot to win a ring. I'd ask for two 1st round picks, a quality rookie, and a big expiring contract. That way you don't gut the team you send them to. Of course I'm an eternal optimist and the Suns are gonna rock this season and next.

Re: Nash Trade Value
Nash is carrying the team and still playing at an elite level. Teams(or at least their fansbases) aren't going to put together a realistic package to acquire someone of his caliber due to his age so he is unavailable for all intents and purposes on realgm.
Suns would need a LEGIT corner stone in a Nash trade, not some middling NBA role players. May as well just waive him instead of doing the craptastic trades that were suggested, then he'd be able to choose his own fate and it's not like the Suns are missing out on anything.

I get these viewpoints but unfortunately the NBA isn't always sweet and sentimental. Management and Nash have a mutual respect. They've said they won't trade him now. He's also said he was frustrated. I'm just saying, down the road, maybe not til next season, there's always a chance he asks nicely if he can go to a contender. At that point like you said, people won't be willing to pay way too much because of his age. But what are we going to do? All I'm saying is, it would suck, nobody would ever want it to happen but...what if?

Nash had his chance to leave last year and chose to stay despite all the turmoil surrounding Amare. People act like Nash won't be in the NBA after his current contract. I'd be shocked if he doesn't get another contract and if ring chasing is that important to him(which it never has been despite his age) he'll have more chances.
Nash has always been quick to point out how ring chasing doesn't always work out when he's asked why he stays with the Suns.

Blake, Shannon Brown could BOTH play at the same time with 4 other Suns... making it 6 on 5.... and STILL not have the same impact as Nash...
Sorry.... I would think a package of 2014, 2016 UNPROTECTED First Picks Would be attractive from the Lakers.... IF the Suns do trade with them..
I think the following teams will benefit hugely from Nash.... meaning they have finishers + shooters already implemented but no real play maker..
- Hawks
- Bobcats
- Knicks
The Lakers post Bryant, Artest... with only an older Gasol left... would be a 30 win team... unless David Stern gives them Blake Griffin or some other stud for free....
2014 and 2016 picks would top 15 easily... the point of my proposal was.... they can have Nash if they will give up potential lottery picks for him... they can dominate now.. but later on... Suns's turn to dominate.. it also cripples the Lakers further down the line... which is IDEAL for us Suns fans.

So you would trade Nash to the lakers for an unprotected first........ but don't you have to match salary? It's not like I believe those players are on the same field as nash but if you lose a point you might want one back in return. And didn't put a future first in the trade. Don't tell me yall just want to dump Nash off for nothing.
Guys I'm from the bulls board and all we do is argue over topics.......[/quote]
