This was popular last year, so I decided to do it again.

Werdum. A lot of people thought Fedor would crush him and he shocked the world.

I'll go with Mark Bocek

The way he pulled off the triangle from the top was great.

I also think that match was fun to watch while it lasted, I know most people don't like watching grapling matches but I find them very interesting. Sorta like a chess match.

Werdum submitting Fedor. Everyone thought Fedor was unbeatable...and then he tapped...

Silva due to the fact that he was about to lose his belt and got his ass kicked for five rounds.

Not necessarily the most impressive sub of the year from a technical standpoint, but I had to give it to Silva just due to what was on the line: his title and his legacy. Watching him pull it off during the closing moments of the fight was unreal

Definitely. Plus there's never been a comeback like that after 4+ rounds of domination that I can think of. It was probably the easiest sub to pull off on the list, but the timing of it and with everything on the line made it incredible.

Hmm...

Silva for the drama.

Werdum for the impressiveness of the act.

Davis for the badassery of the actual submission manoeuvre.

...giving it to Silva.

BTW...no love for Lesnar's arm-triangle on Carwin?

I know it seems funny to even think about, and it wasn't the most beautiful technically, but it does have the drama/big moment part down.

It shouldn't win, but honestly, does anybody give a **** that Mark Bocek triangled Dustin Hazelett? At least make it a nominee.

The Bocek submission deserves to be on the Poll IMO. It was 100x better than the lesnar submission, the lesnar submission is the awesome cause you wouldnt expect it from him..other than that it was nothing spectacular.

Sure nobody went WTF or OMG whencause it wasnt a big fight or no upset or wasnt a comeback win, but it was one of the best submissions technically IMO. The whole fight as short as it was, was great to watch if you're a fan of the BJJ aspect of MMA.

It's a tie between Silva and Fedor for me. Fedor's upset was huge but then again the actual moment of Silva pulling a triangle out of nowhere after being dominated for 23 minutes was amazing.

I actually voted for the 1-armed Kimura. It just has the highest degree of difficulty. It's also something we've never seen. I loved the drama of the 2 big triangles but triangle chokes are nothing new. Superior Jiu-Jitsu guys will catch guys napping. Hell, Sonnen's been caught the exact same way before.

I think the opponent factor is huge, so I voted for Werdum too.
