There's no need for more third stringers, which essentially is what guys like Yi and Haddadi are. The roster is already too deep.
If anything Morey will look to use some of the assembled assets to bring in a big time player or talent. Whether or not he'll succeed is another thing obviously, but that certainly appears to be the plan.

As long as Yao still looks like he is trying to come back for the Rockets, the Rockets will be the darling international team it is now. The silver lining in Yao's injury is that if the Rockets get Yao back at a low price it would be an absolute steal even if he doesn't play much. The organization will have more money to buy picks and to pay players. FAs also have to consider the fact that a star on Yao's team will instantly gain mad popularity in China (and All-Star votes and everything else).

Keeping Yao on the team is not just about making Les money, nosireebob.

This has to be the first time I've seen somebody spell that out....

I would probably start them over Hayes unless the other team has a small lineup. Haddadi would complement Scola perfectly. You guys wanted Thabeet and Haddadi is just as good as him imo.

I didn't want Thabeet. The guy is a bust. Haddadi is a third stringer and so is Yi. Those FIBA Asia stats mean nothing. The competition over there is worse than in the D-League.

It would be an insult to Chuck Hayes, to even think about starting those two stiffs over him.

"you're gonna start HADDIDI OVER ME? the guy who plays behind hasheem thabeet?"

"yup"

"oh man, i dunno what to say. i think im gonna skip tonight's game and go kill myself"
