Third most talented Bobcat?

Post#1 » by captaincrunk » Mon Dec 20, 2010 11:28 pm

Who do you think the third best Bobcat is? Assuming Wallace and Jackson take the top spots, I'm tempted to say Tyrus Thomas. I just want to see what people think.

Well, clarify in your post. If you think that's two different bobcats, just say that and explain why.

I think it's Tyrus Thomas on both accounts.

I cannot believe I am going to say this, but my vote is Diaw. He can score, get rebounds and dish out assists better than anyone else on the team on a nightly basis. I know he aggravates the crap out of us at times, but I do believe when you ask whom the 3rd most talented is, it is hands down Diaw. Problem is many nights he just does not play up to his potential. I just threw up in my mouth saying it, but it is true.

Did you just saw Diaw is our best scorer, rebounder, and passer? Or did you mean that he's got the best combo of all three?

Diaw could and sometimes looks to be our best scorer, othertimes he looks like a fat wombat.

Jack's the most talented, Boris is 2nd.

Gerald is the most athletically and physically gifted, but in terms of basketball talent, he would be #3 for me.

Third most valuable - "the self-contained Boris Diaw"
Third most talented - "the otherwise contained Tyrus Thomas"

I basically wanted to exclude Jackson and Wallace from the discussion to see what people thought about the other guys. We've seen a fair bit of love for Diaw here... Weird... Most the time you guys hate him!

Exactly - and that's why I asked.

Boris is, by far, the most talented player on our roster. He just doesn't show it enough.

He is pretty versatile, but he wouldn't be called "great" at any of those skills. Not a great rebounder, scorer, defender, etc. Just passable at all of those things.

Diaw is the most talented guy on this team and it's not even close. He's just a big time underachiever and a lazy fat ass. Then i'd say 2 Jackson and 3 Wallace.

Outside of Crash and Jax, he does all 3 together better than anyone else on the team. He has that ability, but does not live up to it as much as we need him to do. But he is still easily the 3 most talented Bobcat.

The most talented is Doris......but he's too fat and lazy so those talents are only realised 3 times out of 10. He's been more consistent this season though. That game he had against Houston (i think) was a good example of what his talents are and what he's capable of doing. Inside - outside game - penetrating from the perimeter and when he heats up like that he truly becomes the most talented player on this team, because defenses adjust which brings Diaw's other talents like passing, drawing doubles, getting teammates open - to light.

He's always been a solid defender too, he gave Pau 99 problems in his first season here as a Cat and was one of the primary reasons we owned the Lakers that year, which we still do.

Like tonight. Did any Bobcat look like they belong in the NBA other than Diaw?

actually...

boris is the most talented player on the roster. i think wallace is probably #3. the difference is that wallace plays with 10 times the energy that boris does.
