I'm perfectly capable of having conversations, but I get tired of bringing up the same points every other post, so I keep it short. Now that EC is gone, bringing up AR has become the new EC bashing.

You're right. Not any pejoritives in this back and forth, but you do tend to go for the short, colorful bash when you don't agree. You're hardly the worst quick to the "flaming trigger" offender, but sometimes you just seem to get pissed darn easy.

If AR ends up here (which he in all likelihood won't) you can aim all your venom at the FO for the stupid move. Save something else for me, if it happens.

I DO feel, this PHX-ORL trade has possible implications as far as C.Anthony, The Knicks and Denver drama. And if it's true Randolph is the element the Suns could have strong interest in IMHO, and at the same time enabling the NYK-DEN swap. He's a nice fit for the re-build on the fly plan. Move a superfluous wing, get a known PF commodity "draft pick" and get out of the treturous late first round, for 2nd round freedom. Have a nice piece for the future...a cheap one to test.

I won't talk of AR again. Rest easy.

I don't completely understand the FO having a desire to help DEN-NYK Melo trade go through. What is their motivation for it? They don't gain much, And they make the Knicks a much better team. Granted it weakens the Nuggets, but I don't think the Suns really have to worry about the Nuggets.

Agreed. Why would the suns Fo be in a hurry to help Knicks get Melo? Screw NY, and screw Nugs while we're at it! I think any move to get AR would be complete BS, and I don't sense the FO is looking at him, just members of the Suns board. I think we will go after a more substantive PF (either veteran or newbie) but I haven't any idea who that might be.

Why WOULDN'T we want to help a bonafide superstar leave the conference?

We're battling these teams. Denver without Melo probably wouldn't make the playoffs.

I can see PLENTY of motivation to get him out of the West.

I don't think there'd be any want to help or hurt either team...it would just be an attempt to take advantage of the Nugz/Knicks situation/possible desparation. I'm also guessing that there is actually a pretty good and professional working relationship between the Suns FO and the Knicks FO SEE:The Knicks doing the Amare SnT when they really didn't have to. Despite the uncomfortable exchanging of franchise pieces over the last few years, I'm sensing the vibe between the Knicks and Suns is "good".

Knowing thyne enemy can actually be a nice starting point....and the two know each other quite well.

JohnVancouver wrote:Anyway - I agree that it makes sense this is the first of at least two deals, and the more i think on it the more i like the idea of VC here. He can be a 3-pt shooter, no-one expects him to come in and be a highlight reel, but, that said, he actually has a bit more in his bag of tricks than JRich does - post moves, of the dribble moves etc - not that I expect to see a lot of that. I think Nash is going to make him look very very good.

I don;t think we want to move Pietrus - a good defensive player who shoots threes? He and Duds make a nice pair. If anyone, we move Warrick, who can't play PF anyway no matter how tall he is. Too spindly, no D - I was infatuated with the dunks at first but I'm not in love anymore. Too many missed layups/dunks, no nuts.

and we called Gani back up - good times

Agreed man.

VC can do many of the things JRich brought, spot up shooting, fastbreak scoring and alleyoops, only not as good as JRich. But he also brings other things that JRich lacks or doesn't do as well, ability to create his own shot consistently, run the PnR, and the post game. I think the good thing about our system is that with Nash around, VC doesn't ahve to create on his own every time and can choose his spots of when to break down his defender and when to spot up shoot. With Hedo, he had very little freedome because he wanted to have the ball in his hands to create every time but he didn't like to spot up shoot either. VC has changed up his game in the last few seasons and has become a better spot up shooter while still having the skills he's lived off through out his career.

I think either JChill or MP will be moved. If it was up to Sarver, I think JChill would be gone because of his contract. If it was up to the FO, I think they'd want to move MP because they still think JChill can fit with the team and his size allows him to play several different positions depending on what we run. I also think Warrick should be moved. He's just too small to be consistently good on offense or on the boards. Some nights he'll have his way around less defensive and slower bigs and on other nights he'll just be forcing things against more quality bigs. I think he's an OK player but I also think I may have overrated him because he was one of the bright spots early on in the season. I'd like us to move him if it got us a PF that's better suited for our system.

Hypothetical:

What if VC becomes really sensational with the Suns, do Suns still dump him for salary or?

Yes. VC is old anyway, we are better off with the flexibility that his contract gives us when it expires.

Nas was good back in the day, then started putting out bullsh*t. He didnt become relevant again until he came back to sh*t on Jay-Z. Tech's records are all great, no filler, no radio BS, just straight fire!

I'm happy for Suns r4ping Orlando on the trade. VC is twice as good as Jrich. Orlando looks horrible right now!
