Joakim trade value

Post#1 » by Marion Type » Tue Dec 21, 2010 1:50 am

What do you guys think his value is worth now considering he will probably not return until March.
This will leave potentially a month and a half of games left over.
What players do you think would be reasonable and what caliber player.

What type of league? Any points for certain levels of production? I can talk H2H, but clueless with Roto.

Sorry I wasn't very clear.
I'm in a roto league. My team is :

Lebron,
R Felton,
R. Allen
AK
C. Butler,
Bogut,
Noah
R. Lopez,
RIchard Jefferson,
Charlie V
Billups
Gortat
Kenyon Martin.

I'm in a 14 team Roto league, and the wire is slim pickings. I'm obviously in need of Cs as I just lost Noah. R Lopez and Gortat is mediocre at best - especially chances are both will be time sharing in Phoenix.
I got offered Antawn Jamison - and I know its a huge drop in value for Noah, however considering the fact that Noah is out until the last month and a half of the season what type of player can I expect for Noah.

I have to figure out Roto... always been a H2H guy. Gortat is eventually going to replace Lopez in my humble opinion. Sounds like you can't afford to stash Noah... but honestly, 'tawn is just as much as an injury liability. You are getting Kenyon back on Wednesday... I would stay away from 'tawn (also knowing the fact Cleveland is a known fantasy GM killer because of their assinine coaching decisions).

USF, what about a straight-up 20 man H2H league? I'd love to stash Noah but with Jennings on my team too, I don't think I can afford to if I wanna make the playoffs (I'm 9th right now).

What kind of value do you think I could get for Noah? Ideally I'd like a Noah-lite type of player from a team that can afford to stash him.

Thats my problem as well. I would love to be able to stash him away, however with my lack of Centers this does pose an issue to me.
With only one real legit center in Bogut (injury concern), and the other two being R. Lopez and Gortat (timeshare) I'm in a position where I may need to trade for another Center - or trade Noah upfront.
Based on my team above - I am currently in 2nd place in a 14 team roto - do you think it would be ideal to trade away R. Allen for say an Okafor or Varejao type...
I have tried to get Brand, and a couple other better centers, but obviously centers are hard to come by and was rejected.

What do you think of that trade? R. Allen for Okafor or Varejao - based on my team needs.

Honestly, it's probably best to just stash him away. I can't get anyone to bite, not even the top seeds who can afford to stash him and still win. It doesn't look like anyone wants a player who's going to be out until 3 weeks from playoff time.
