These are LB's players

Post#1 » by therebirth » Tue Dec 21, 2010 3:12 am

There were a couple of players I mentioned to our organization," Brown recalls. "Their first response was, 'They can't play.' I said, 'Whoa, whoa, whoa.' If I'm going to be the coach, you've got to try to get the players I feel I can coach — or let someone else do it. … (But) I want to see this thing through here."

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------This was LB in 2008 when he first joined the team. They brought the players he wanted and now they have quit on him.

there is no doubt larry has had a tremendous amount of influence over this roster............. until this summer. he obviously wanted felton and chandler to stay. i think its one of the reasons he has mentally checked out. he feels MJ didnt cave in to his demands this summer by letting felton and chandler go and when LB doesnt get his way he acts like a child.

It was too late by then. The damage had already been done with too many overpaid players. We had to give up those players because charlotte can't afford to pay the tax.

yup battery, here we go.

3 loses by 30 points and this is what happens.

i'll be glad to start a thread for each player so we can bitch about their performances, but LB deserves some blame. deal with it.

this is what it looks like when a team quits on the coach. its UGLY. get a new coach or get new players.

just curious, how many times has gregg popovich, phil jackson or jerry sloan had a team quit on them mid season?

MJ will not fire LB. But Hopefully LB will step down because that is the only way he leaves.

I hope Larry does step down tomorrow morning because these selfish clowns do not deserve to be coached by him anymore.

And then we get to put the focus on where it should be, the PLAYERS. MJ too.

It's actually the City of Charlotte's fault for the whole arena fiasco! If they hadn't signed off on a deal costing the taxpayers of Charlotte money then they would have fans like back in the days of the Hornets and MJ could have paid Felton 6yr/48 million kept Tyson on the team went into the luxury tax and we could stand a good chance at locking up a 5 or 6 seed and maybe get a win in the playoffs this year.

Exactly this team is struggling for money. Grant him his wish buyout Larry Brown and promote Hanners as the interim to see what he has to offer for the remainder of the season that would save some money right there.

If it appears after this Crash and Jax have checked out too then send them on their merry way as well. As the saying goes, when you find yourself in a hole, stop digging.

I think thats the main problem, LB won't walk away cheaply.

I'm sure Mj and Lb had this discussion over summer and MJ's point of view is that if you want to get paid, you coach. If you want to walk away, leave the money behind.

You know, Al Davis in Oakland fires his coaches, and refuses to pay them because he says they were fired for cause. And the coaches just leave it be. MJ should fire LB and say it is for cause as LB is sabotaging this season. That would be something to see. Tar Heel vs Tar Heel. Wonder what in the world Dean would do if that happened? Maybe try to mediate a resolution.

Are you forgetting that LB has gone through that with the knicks. He never leaves money on the table even when he wants to leave.

    :x :x
I saw a very dejected coach sitting on the bench last night. I think the problem is in the lockerroom with one or twp players. I saw LB and GW just sitting looking into space. Jax shaking his disapproval after breaking out of a timeout huddle. The same with his buddy TT. The other players looked like a herd of deer in headlights.... And Naz being thrown out after 2 techs
This needs to be turned around soon or we are going to be a 30-52 team this year.
After tonight we have 5 days off. LB MJ and RH need to go into the war room and let the players go home to their families knowing that some of them may not return to Charlotte. Its time to think about the long term future of this team with trades and draft picks
The truth is this:
GW is a great guy on and off the court, but he can't keep playing Crash or one of these times he will burn. D. Brown and Dmac both together can fill his shoes. Play them
Jax has helped this team allot, but he hasn't changed. He's got to forget about the fouls or we need to ship him to another team to complain. Start Henderson and play him 32+ minutes and see what numbers he puts up and sub Carroll with him
Boris consistency is not there and he turns the ball over. Hes great one night and doesn't show up the next. TT has great potential as a star if you get rid of Jax
DJ has surprised everyone after Raymond left , playing excellent, yet still small for a starting point. Can his body hold up 82 games? Livingston has helped prove to everyone he can play.
Nazr gives us great minutes and would be a great backup and Kuamee is starting to show some aggressivness. Like Henderson start him and give him 32+ minutes

Finally Concentrate your focus not on bandaiding to make the playoffs ,buttrades that take in account the long term future of the team so we don't end up like the Hornets.

MJ wont fire LB. MJ loves UNC much more than the loves the bobcats.

Return to Charlotte Hornets
