Earl Barron released. Appreciation thread?

Post#1 » by LV-Suns » Tue Dec 21, 2010 10:40 pm

Didn't see a thread here.

Earl Barron has been released by the team.

We barely ever knew him, we can still watch him on the LA Sparks sidelines.

lol the mods are gonna get on that picture.

Anyway, could care less about Barron now. For as much hustle and energy he brought, he was a total liability offensively and he was all that great defensively either.

Time to unleash Gortat.

He did what he was paid to do and is a top quality person. He should have no problem finding work.

Ya, it's fun to be clever about all of this... but the man did just get let go from his job.

It's not like he was making minimum wage and now can't pay the rent.

Should've kept him and then traded him to Orlando for a second round pick when he was eligible. Orlando are now in need of a backup center, and Earl Barron is someone they were targeting. Now we let them have him for nothing.

Earl Barron Appreciation Thread

Post#13 » by JohnVancouver » Wed Dec 22, 2010 3:58 am

Worked hard, knew it was a long shot he'd stick - hopefully he showed some GMs he's a quality end of the bench/insurance guy. If he works on his offense and gets to where he can convert 70% of those easy baskets, he'll have an NBA career

Good luck Earl

Good point - all I can reckon is they really wanted to free upa roster spot right now, which is good news

I hope we are getting the PF we all asked for in out stocking, and that we bring Matt Janning back; we need another guard

Thank you Barron for coming to our rescue when we needed a big body inside.

I'm wathcing Bulls Wizards on NBA TV tonight and the scroll across the bottom says Suns have recalled Earl Barron from D-League. Is NBATV just way behind or is something going on? Guys on the Knicks board saw the same thing.

I bet you NY will pick him up, Turiaf is ailing and Mozgov is just simply terrible.
