What in the world can Dallas offer ???? Maybe the Thunder trade Jeff Green, Harden and Mo Pete and picks?? Move Durant to the 2 guard spot. Why Denver would deal with a West team

or

ATlanta

Doubt this but Lakers???

for

Carmelo, Carter, S. Williams

Well if Cuban is willing to pay?

So they get a point guard (even though they have Lawson), a shooting guard (even though they have Afflalo), a center, a bad small forward who won't be on the team after next year, two picks in the late 20s, and 3 million dollars. Brilliant.

Not to mention...Denver would be trading its STAR PLAYER to a team in its conference.

That trade is nonsensical for denver. If that happened I would just laugh and move on.

Replace Chandler with Fields and I's say you have something. With the 3 bullie boys you need off the ball glue types ...

Sure if the Knicks had their choice but it probably will be Denver's choice and really Chandler wouldn't be a bad glue guy himself either, and for his younger years thought to be just that, a glue guy. The guy is probably even more versatile than Fields even if he doesn't have the same skill set Fields does.

Fields has a better handle but no way could he guard many PFs like Will can. I suspect Fields will get a better jump shot eventually but Will has found his stroke already and they aren't that apart in age. Both rebound pretty good.

Will blocks a heck of alot more shots and he's an established defender, while Fields has the tools to be a good defender and gives effort he has had some success there so could improve defensively but probably won't be as good of a shot blocker at any point as WC.

With Will as a SG and Varejao at C who is floppy but stronger than people give him credit for, he can guard the post well, the Knicks would start one of the strongest groups in the NBA. Plus as having bird rights over Will he probably could be signed for $7-8mil per for 5 years at that point and be a good dam value cause he can play so many positions and is a two way player.

The reason I had Turiaf in there instead of Moz is they might actually want someone who can play in the rotation now as well as have for future trade piece. Moz would only offer savings if his option is declined and then they lose all value in him. Possible trade asset if option accepted but how much really at this point? At least with Turiaf he's an expiring after this season that they can turn into a pick or something if they don't want to pay him next year. Someone would want him.

But either way I think The big Flop would be great playing next to Amar'e. He's an intangibles guy at the center spot who rebounds and defends, perfect even if pretty annoying.

For who? Varejao? LOL! I'm sure they'll be looking to get out from under his overpaid contract role playing azz as soon as they see they still are bottom of the standings by February. Express train to straight salary dump city! If they want a prospect they'll choose Moz over Turiaf.

I think we can safely say now with the Magic out, it's really either the Nets or the Knicks... he ain't going to the Bulls either... it's really going to come down to whether Melo gives in to the money and the pressure Denver / NJ will be putting on him to sign, or if he'll stick to his guns and tell Denver make something happen with the Knicks..

There's no question he wants to come here, but I can't help but think when it gets down to the wire, Melo very well may give in....Denver has come out and said they will trade him if he doesn't sign, Melo has also said he has no intention on going into FA.. so the whole 'wait till he's a FA' that a lot of Knicks fans seem to be hoping for isn't happening, or at least has a verry small possibility... only way I can see that is if the Mavs rent him, which Melo would have no say in... not sure I see that happening though.

Least we can rest assured Melo isn't happy with the Nets roster [and everything else about them], but NJ is probably trying to pull any and every team they can in on the deal with all there picks to get some sort of respectable player back in addition to Melo so that Melo would sign off... it's really annoying that the Knicks are delegated to the waiting position in this whole thing...doesn't seem like there is much Donnie could do other than sit and wait for something to hopefully fall through with NJ...all the while being bound from doing anything for when these chumps do come to deal with us..

doesn't seem like there is much for us to do other than hope for nothing to come from the NJ deal, and wait until the trade deadline comes nearer with the group that we have, and hope Denver will eventually deal with us...and time to make other deals as well..

Orlando’s Moves Won’t Force Knicks Hand

“Look, we’re trying to make the playoffs,” Donnie Walsh said. “There’s no doubt about that. If there’s something out there that can help us make the playoffs, you do it. We’re on the phones and we know what’s out there for us.”

Walsh made one thing clear: The Magic’s decision to blow up their team and remake it with Arenas, Hedo Turkoglu, Jason Richardson and Earl Clark, obtained in deals last Saturday, is not going to force his hand.

“It doesn’t make me feel like we should do something because of that,” he said. “When you think that way, you make bad mistakes.”

LOL, I like Donnie's comments, because it implies he thinks Orlando's moves were mistakes brought on by desperation.

Why should Donnie feel pressured by what Orlando did. All those moves did is secure the same mediocrity for double the price.

I must say the Magic look worse now, I know its been a few games but holy crap..Otis mighta just dug his grave.

Hedo doesn't look NEAR the same level he was back in Orlando a few years ago. Their passing was horrible, Hedo blew a layup, **** is gonna get blown up in that locker room if Arenas takes Jameers starting spot. They are capped out with this team they have now until like 2013.

Lets get 2 things out in the open

1. Arenas sucks
2. Arenas should absolutely take Jameer's starting spot.

To be fair it takes time for chemistry. I think they need atleast 10 days of games and practice to see what their new team will be like.

Okay now i should have knoooooooooowwwwwwnnnn this kind of report was coming.. Now i know incarcerated bob aint sh*t but this did make me a lil nervous at first.. and then i thought about it:

incarceratedbob

**BREAKING NEWS** Carmelo Anthony has told family members he is not happy that Knicks have showed little interest in making a trade for him
11 minutes ago via web

**BREAKING NEWS** Anthony being disappointed at Knicks lack of interest only makes the NJ Nets look like a more attractive option
10 minutes ago via web

After i read them i thought about how confident i am that Donnie is working on this behind the scenes. And im sure melo knows the knick perspective through Amare.. & knowing that perspective, i doubt he'd be upset with us, if anything he should be upset at the nugget's FO. AND i doubt through all that, the nets would be looking 'more attractive'.. i actually cant think of anything that makes the nets attractive.. But this is a warning.. I'm sure more reports like this are on their way..

yeah losing Cliff Lee to the Phillies
losing to Heat/Celtics/Cavs in the same week
Giants blowing a 31-10 4th quarter lead at home
me losing both my fantasy football money league playoffs

if Melo signs extension with NJ this will officially be the worst 1-2 week period in sports for me

Return to New York Knicks
