I'm going to just sit back and watch it all unfold. Rumours, proposals, offers, LOLS....all of it. If the sources are right in saying that early January is the target date, there's no way MJ tries to save the season, the season's dead already, especially with LB's cancerous attitude. This season is beyond saving.

Time to call Pritchard...

Walt, is that you? Has someone hijacked your account?

I'm glad to see you've come around. No matter how ugly things get, I dont think Slam will ever come to the tanking darkside though; he's the board's metaphorical Luke Skywalker.

Should leave it alone, but I can't help myself. Our disagreement in the past hasn't been about whether tanking is wrong or a bad idea, but that the time hasn't been right. We should've tanked early in our building stages instead of trying to be as competitive as our limited players would allow. The disagreement was that I have always maintained that because of that mistake, the franchise had to legitimize itself with a playoff trip, especially once new ownership took over. If you'll remember though, I said that this offseason would've been a great time to blow things up, because most of us here knew how limited the team was and we had become less of a laughingstock. Anyway, now is a great time to really, really insure that we're going to get a top pick--the team is lacking of talent and it's a down year for sports in NC in general, Charlotte specifically.

I know you've been in favor of rebuilding since the end of last season.

Just thought you were also in the same camp as Slam and a couple others with regard to opposition to tanking (i.e. not throwing games per se but rather deliberately stripping the roster for picks/young players/cap space with the express intent of losing alot of games in the process to secure a high pick).

Apologies if I was mistaken on that count.

One area of disagreement that we had this past spring that I do remember well and was reminded of tonight was our debate over my prediction that OKC would win a playoff series before Charlotte does. Needless to say, I'm proudly sticking to my guns. Nothings final til the fat lady sings of course but so far, I dont think its looking too good for you on this one.

“Go ahead and book it right now because predictions don’t come any easier than this: The OKC Thunder will advance past the first round before we do.”

I want them to rebuild as well. Hopefully we can get decent returns from Jax and Crash.
