Cmon bro. That team is scary. Lets not make Brendan Haywood a God now. He plays 19 mpg. Yeah Cuban turns the roster over alot, but Melo is on a different level than any of his past moves. Him and Dirk would be insane.

It is not that simple. It is not about making Haywood god. You realize that Boston lost to the Lakers last year because Perkins went down?

This is about chemistry. You plug Melo into Butler's role? Butler is an above average defender. Will Melo give that intensity? Especially given he is not even sure he wants to be there. Dallas is there in terms of talent. They already beat San Antonio, Miami etc. this year. They need continuity and chemistry and all the big men they can keep at this point. Not another scorer no matter what the name is.

Except Cuban has had a history of turning over his roster to chase a player. Also, Caron Butler may not match Melo's contract for trade purposes, but add Deshawn Stevenson's expiring, and it works out fine:

I believe Dallas also has some mid-level TPE's that they can use to swap with Harrington or JR Smith's contracts for even more immediate savings.

Beaubois + 1sts is a crappy package though so I'm not really worried about Dallas. But if somehow Denver does deal him there, cause they refuse to deal with NY out of spite, even if we offer a better package, then I'd be very worried that Melo resigns with the Mavs.

Dallas scares me.

I feel if they get Melo they make a really goo title run and I feel Cuban can get him to sign an extension. Uhhh this can get bad.

I did not say Cuban won't do it. I just say that it guarantees an early exit once again. I admire Cuban's willingness to spend money, but he (and his management) does a poor job understanding what it takes to win. There is a reason that team won 50 something games 10 consecutive seasons and is the only team that did not win a ring with such a record.

If Denver is really stupid enough to trade him to Dallas. A western team then I would hate the hell out of Denver and Dallas for the rest of my life.

I honestly don't know which owner is more stupid.

Orlando can get Melo for JRich (who can only be traded alone).

Successful Trade Scenario
Congratulations on a successful trade.
Due to Denver and Orlando being over the cap, the 25% trade rule is invoked. Denver and Orlando had to be no more than 125% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Trade ID #5779868

Denver Trade Breakdown
Change in Team Outlook: -4.7 ppg, -3.9 rpg, and -1.8 apg.
Incoming Players
Jason Richardson
6-6 SG from Michigan State
19.3 ppg, 4.4 rpg, 1.4 apg in 31.8 minutes
Outgoing Players
Carmelo Anthony
6-8 SF from Syracuse
24.0 ppg, 8.3 rpg, 3.2 apg in 35.2 minutes

Orlando Trade Breakdown
Change in Team Outlook: +4.7 ppg, +3.9 rpg, and +1.8 apg.
Incoming Players
Carmelo Anthony
6-8 SF from Syracuse
24.0 ppg, 8.3 rpg, 3.2 apg in 35.2 minutes
Outgoing Players
Jason Richardson
6-6 SG from Michigan State
19.3 ppg, 4.4 rpg, 1.4 apg in 31.8 minutes

My hate for Miami runs deep. Honestly, worse case sanario for us is he goes to Dallas, and a combo of Melo and Dirk shut out lebron and his two butt buddies for 3 years at least, maybe more depending on how long dirk can hold up and who else they can bring in there over the years. OR he goes to Dallas without an extension, they make a decent run but fall short of the NBA finals, and Melo says, eh you know what, I want to go to NY and signs with us and we compete with the best in the league with a Melo/Amare tandem.

Even if we dont get melo we can add some other guys to make us a good promising team. Maybe the perfect roles players and chemestry can overcome all the star power on all the other teams. Either way, Miami is in trouble, and that makes me smile inside.

melo going to dallas would be a hugeeeeeeeeeeeeee boon for us imo.

Pretty much guarantees he comes in the offseason. it lets us unload potentially gallo for a more important piece and keep chandler. what's not to like??

Are you saying hypothetically or are you implying that Denver would actually agree to this? JRich is a FA so there's quite a real possibilityt hey will have dealt Melo for nothing.

you're delusional

he has a reasonable contract

he is a big

he is effective at what he does

that owner is filthy rich

they still sell out that building without lebron

he and mo williams carry that team

they have absolutely no incentive to trade him. No need to do so at all..

they start with AR + Gallo.

#1

a lot of ppl think that he is credible.

he isn't.

remember the steroid suspension for edison volquez?

he did not break that story.

he stole it from baseball prospectus who simply wrote that someone failed a PED test and that he was a "big" player.

how do i know? I READ THE REPORT on BP BEFORE he got on boomer and carton to "report it"

and he put his own idiot spin on it saying it could be texeira because he was having a bad year. It was bad info. TEX is heavily involved with the player's union and keeping guys clean. he made stuff up. so stop it.

incarcerated bob is a phony and a liar. period.

After i read them i thought about how confident i am that Donnie is working on this behind the scenes. And im sure melo knows the knick perspective through Amare.. & knowing that perspective, i doubt he'd be upset with us, if anything he should be upset at the nugget's FO. AND i doubt through all that, the nets would be looking 'more attractive'.. i actually cant think of anything that makes the nets attractive.. But this is a warning.. I'm sure more reports like this are on their way..

cant blame melo, he has pretty much since Aug given ny a chance to get him, if donnie cant do it, then he's gonna move on

and Ive called dallas for a while now, they have a decent package around butler and beabois, and a owner willing to take risk, and a deep playoff run + the fans that might convince melo to sign that extension

The Nuggets aren't taking Roddy when they have Ty Lawson. For Denver to trade Melo to a Western Conference team, the offer will have to be better than decent.
