Top 25 Lakers of All-Time

Post#1 » by Jase » Tue Dec 21, 2010 5:41 pm

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/3595 ... eem/page/1

I don't agree with the rankings, but I've never seen a rankings list where everyone agrees. Still, I found it to be an interesting read.

Worst list I've ever seen. I'm pretty sure that was a troll article.

I saw this before... With each click of the page I cringed more and more. I remember gagging on a skittle while sitting in my cubicle when I got down to number 5. :noway:

Trevor Ariza, Eddie Jones, and GLEN RICE were Greater Lakers than PAU, Lamar, and Mychal Thompson?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??

Elden "Can't Count On" Campbell doesn't belong in there as well.

I think you gotta stick Ron Ron in there as well .
Maybe not top 25 but hey if your gonna put in Glen Rice ,
Ron's value on the court was much greater than him.

An to top that off Ron's going for his second ring with the Lakers today and Glen Rice got the axe after his one season in 2000.

Absolute FAIL!
Bleacher Report needs to get into another sport.
Their basketball knowledge is GARBAGE.

He leaves off Gasol and Odom because they were "role players" but puts on Ariza. That right there makes this list null and void.

That site is so pathetic anyways.

Read "Ed S"'s comment to sum up the stupidity of the rankings.

From Elden to Kareem… By Denton Ramsey (Senior Analyst) on March 9, 2010

Not sure what he is a Senior Analyst of, but it "ain't" basketball - unless he's a bit too early for April's Fools Day:
Campbell, Rice, Van Exel...

I can appreciate that it would be a challenging list to make (as far as where to put who), but I was a bit perplexed with their roster.

stoped reading after this
When I first began this list, I had well over 30 names written down before narrowing it down to 25; however, I’ll refer to the last five players to make the cut as my honorable mentions.

Those Lakers players are as follows: Derek Fisher (30) - Fisher

wow thats just pathetic he should be no where near the Lakers top 50 list much less top 25 just sad so sad

This list is garbage.
Kobe should be 4, with Shaq 5 and West 6th. Kobe won 5 rings, that only makes it better than Shaq, and far better than West.

Pau should be somehow between Worthy and McAdoo around 8th-9th spot. Why? because major role on 3 NBA finals, 2 championships and 3 Allstar appearances in 3 years. That makes it at least as good as 9th all time.

The Ariza, Campbell, Van Exel... thing is just a joke

We on RealGM made a good list a couple of seasons ago. I guess that was lost during the forum migration that happened recently.

the bleacher report is a newer source media thing, it's garbage, but they definitly have a good method to get the information out there. they'll get better. i signed up for them for my ravens and they email me articles some help others stink but at least they provide them easily and often.
