Cuban - says what he wants lol...gotta love it.

i bet he's not making it up. somebody in denver's organization probably told him that. they're trying to create competition. maybe fool the nets into taking melo without an extension.

I think you may be on to something. But the more it looks like there are all these other alternatives to the Nets, the more it looks like Melo just won't say yes to their extension.

Honestly, if he is willing to go to the Nets, this is a pretty simple deal. Their lottery pick, Favors and filler and Melo signs in NJ. Favors is overrated but getting a lottery pick would beat all other offers.

So the delay indicates Melo is not on board as Sheridan and Berger have said.

Ok so Dallas is out... at least for now. I don't see the Nuggets taking on an expiring JRich and late first rounders for Melo, I think they'd be after more long term security.

The Nets are selling Favors like he is the next Dwight Howard or something. That's why I know that Kroenke and Uriji is just sour to trading him to the Knicks.

I think ppl over sell the lala thing all NBA players have homes in different states, NBA wives don't just follow players around the globe. That being said I do think Carmelo will come to the knicks just because that's is his plan.. But don't think for one moment that LaLa"s career has anything to do with it

He is basically Anthony Randolph without the baggage of three (mostly) unproductive NBA-Years. The potential is strong with this one.

This is another long dragged out saga and the only ones that are going to lose is the Nuggets organization. Like someone else said, it looks like the Nuggets are leaking all types of false rumors to make it appear there is more competition than there really is. Carmelo will be a Knick whether they want to deal him to us or not. If he were going to Jersey, he would have already been there. Wake me up for the Melo press conference at MSG.

Could also be that they leaked "rental" offers to scare NY into ponying up more assets. Donnie knows he doesn't have to beat NJ's offer, but he does have to beat out potential rental offers from Dallas or Orlando.

I don't agree. Melo at PF under our illustrious coach is not exactly my dream come true. I have a lot of trust in Donnie however. He made our Plan B this summer into what appears to be a success. I think his Plan B to Melo could also be successful, perhaps even more successful than Melo.

It's hard to say that any Plan B to lebron was MORE successful than leborn -- because he's lebron when all is said and done -- but I believe that Donnie can address specific needs for size and depth if Melo does not happen. I think a Gasol/Iggy-TYPE gameplan could work out even better for us than Melo.

So bottom line is that Donnie should not overpay for Melo. Melo on a great deal is great for us. Melo on a panic Isiah move with overpayment could very well be worse than the Plan B to Melo.
