Going more to that Durant guy could pay off, just a hunch.

Given Green enough time and space to aim at the rim, he still shot bricks.

No one was going to come at Green on that 3, a straight dare.

Harden is snaking to the hole and drawing the foul time and time again. Once Brooks wakes up and realizes that he is more important to this team than Green we will be much better off.
BEARD UP!

I'm not sure why he keep taking them though, confidence is great but not when we're down by so much.
Would we still be interested to keep green as a starter at PF long term?

This team can't be a real threat as long as he is starting at the 4. This has all been stated time and time again with no change, now with him looking to stand out without a deal in place he throws up a shot every chance he gets. He is going to have to go at some point if he isn't moved into that bench role.

Sadly i don't see Brooks ever seeing it. The only merit i can see is that he provide 'spacing'. I like his clutchness though but it's not the 4th quarter every quarter. I would love to see him as a bench player just so we know how he'll adapt before we decide to extend him.
Which will hurt more? Starter money as a 6th man off the bench? Or Actually playing as our starting PF?
edit: Of course i'm aware him being starting PF will hurt more.

what an awful game. whatever stats jeff green ends up with cant do his performance justice. just sucked the energy out of the offense repeatedly taking shots he should not be taking. at this point hes not much better than russ from 3pt range.
knicks are a bad defensive team. no reason to shoot this bad against them. jeff green and russell westbrook both playing very selfish trying to win the game on their own. they should not have more shots than durant. if im durant right now id be real pissed at both of those guys for their chucking.

They completely phased KD out! He did get to show off some of his passing in the 3rd during the run. We are starting to run into more and more problems and im not sure the chemistry is where it was last year.
Let's all blame Aldrich!

agree the chemistry might be a problem. russell westbrook wants to be a star and take shots, jeff green playing for a contract and taking shots. kd needs to get those two in line and remind them who the leader of the team is.
jeff green is bad for this team. just bad. yeah he hits big shots sometimes but games like these where he is playing pf next to ibaka or collison make him a liability. ibaka and collison play well together but they suck when they have to play next to green.
i'll be so upset if this team keeps jeff green around. we should trade him at the deadline for a big guy. whatever positives he brings dont matter when you have to endure mismatches almost all the time he's playing.

I don't think he'll play this bad if he got a contract signed. I don't want him as a starting PF though. So long as he's ok with being a 6th man.
I read on here alot that we probably aren't going to be paying luxury tax. Anywhere that it was stated before? Just to comfirm that my understanding is correct, the salary cap is $58m but luxury tax is $70m, so a salary budget of say $66m can still get the tax payout right?

Obviously we can't read Pesti's mind but he is smart enough to know that Green isn't going to work as our starting 4 or as the 3rd option. He has poise in crunch time but is responsible for so many wasted possesions.

theyre 23rd in opponent shooting efficiency, 21st in defensive rebounding, dont cause lost of turnovers, and dont keep teams off the line that well. what do you call that? i call it a bad defense.
no reason we should shoot under 40% against the knicks just a bad game for westbrook controlling the team and green chucking everything and not moving when he wasn't chucking.

Hmmm 1st in block shots, 7th in steals, 1st in points of turnovers. Those are key stats.
Generally, teams come out firing in the 1st half and get shut down in the second half. Some stats are misleading if you watch a few knick games.

And "seeing a lot of Knick games", you haven't seen stretches of great defense from these Knick?
I get it's convenient to trash the Knicks effort on defense but we are playing inspired and exciting ball. That's on defense and on offense. Stats are relative, I can't argue them when my eyes tell me what I'm seeing. This is a brand new team.

Absolutely done with Jeff Green, i want him gone. I know i'm overreacting blah blah blah but I hate him taking more shots than kevin and playing the most minutes on the team. And seriously, he should not take another three this year, 1-6 again?!
Westbrook 24 shots? seriously?
Kevin durant played great, harden played pretty well. That's about it
