Simple Insurance Question

Is this retroactive, starting with the first game the player missed after the injury, or does it start with game #42?

No real knowledge here, just speculation based on contracts.

But, I would assume it has to start at game 42. Otherwise a team with a player that had missed 37 games might have a 5 million dollar incentive to sit a player for the next 5 games, and no insurance policy wants to set up incentives like that.
Starting at game 42 would just make it like the standard deductible (and copay) insurance contract.

And again with the huge caveat of no actual knowledge here of the nba's insurance deal.
