Iguodala looks like a man that can get to the FT line 9 times a game. He's just too athletic and quick and should be able to beat his man off the dribble and take it to the basket and draw contact.

That's the move he pulled against Orlando 2 years ago.

I agree with you guys, there's no need to pull that move to make it harder for him to shoot.

He is the most effective when he attacks the basket and not shooting contested fadeaways.

Well Iggy has been in the league what 6-7 years and he has logged more minutes then any player in this league and he still hasn't gotten it down how to score in this league. I for one am tired of the Iggy show and would like to see another scene and act thats different then the cross over clank i am so used to watching. Followed up by the insane dunk where i make that face where i am tougher then the world look. Its just all too old to see this night in and night out. He has improved in some aspects. But he certinly needs to move on. Its just a matter of time just like McNabb.

I would do a curry/randolph for iggy or azubukie/mozgov/chandler/mason for iggy/battie.

I wouldnt trade gallo simply because we need his 3pt shooting, if we traded him for iggy we would be left with iggy/chandler on the wings teams would just double amare until fields comes in.

^Gallo's shooting would be the only thing remotely of interest for us from the Knicks roster in an Iggy deal.

Hence why we would like to trade him a for a shooter. We have no 3 point shooting that is consistent

We'd have to do that deal if it was on the table. Not sure of Melo's chances of resigning, but the gamble'd probably be worth it.

We would have to sweeten that proposed melo deal
to include Evan Turner or a top ten protected draft pick
along with iggy and good salary

No way we trade both Iguodala & Turner with no guarantee that Carmelo will resign or without us getting a big man or good young player in return. A pick is fine, but trading our two best players (projected best player in Turner) is overkill.

Don't you think that's a bit much to give up? Sure, Melo's a great player, but he can't carry a team that would be greatly depleted following such a deal. Also, he would never sign an extension if we had just traded away Iggy and Turner. I think Iggy+expirings/prospects should suffice.

Melo would only re-sign here if Iggy was here, if ever. Turner and Young would have to be the building blocks of that deal, plus a lot more added in (expirings, Speights, picks). Unless we got Nene too or made a separate trade for a big our frontline would still be too weak to make us serious or even semi-contenders.

How do you guys feel about Jrue + AI2 for Rubio, Webster, Ridnour + 2nd round pick?

Its a ballsy move that could backfire terribly, but itd be at least be a good chance for the team to blow up a little bit to get another lottery pick, let Turner and Thad try and develop more, and hope that when Rubio finally comes, solve our ticket selling crisis (because to be honest, it saddens me to see such an empty arena) I'd go Pekovic over Ridnour but that could be asking for too much

Hellllll no....I dont know what you do on the christmas holiday, but I usually limit myself to beer, holiday punch, and some christmas trees. You just got on a whole new level. Why would the sixers trade you Holiday, even more why for Rubio? I guess Flynn isnt working out too good ay? Why would the sixers want to trade you AI without getting back Love or Wes Johnson? Sixers need to get back young talent and expirings and they get none in that deal.

I keep coming back to an Iggy for Deng deal, with some side pieces thrown in.

Iggy would give Rose another ball handler who can facilitate when Rose goes into scoring mode, is more versatile, a better defender than Deng and more durable (less games missed, more productive with a larger minute load) while Deng is the better shooter and scorer, less ball intensive. Deng has started to drop off a bit with all of the minutes he ahs played and Iggy would fit in perfectly as a third option offensively.

If we could get a glue defensive guy like Gibson back and give them Speights and possibly Battie to help get through the Noah absence it might be a good fit for both teams. It isn't cap relief, but with Brand staying we really can't use it much if we egt expirings for Iggy. Deng/Turner/Holiday shold be a much better fit and allow Turner to play his game.

I would then look to move Willimas for more help in the middle.

Deng for Iggy is a no go for me. He falls in the same class. Way overpaid. 2 things are needed for Iggy. A big man or a shooter. With some salary cap relief. Why i wanted a Gortat and Pietrus for Iggy trade.
