Where's the effort?

Post#1 » by JasonDaPsycho » Fri Dec 24, 2010 7:06 am

I was honestly expecting a game with more efforts. While I do mind Phx not getting a win, it really is no big deal in the end. I just want the team to show some will to demonstrate how good they can be, you know the usual Phoenix underdog attitudes. To my surprise, the energy is not there. I was honestly expecting an above-par demonstration of effort. What did I get? Everyone going on business as usual mode.

In the end, only Jared consistently put in the heart and hustle. There was no passion in the building. People are f---ing cheering for Lebron. Whistles for Lebron all over the place. How is that even possible? The fans at Phx are truly as unenthusiastic as some of you guys mentioned. Hell nobody was cheering for Gortat when he first came in. WTF?

I just wanted the players to believe. Few of them did, only a couple showed that they did. As for the fans, I'm just speechless.

I'm just depressed over what this game could have turned out to be. We're more than likely to lose in the end anyways, but for least the players would have shown that they're here to win, and the fans would have shown that they honestly want a championships in the city.

It's not the effort...It's the talent. Just not much talent on the team. They made a good trade last week which brought back more talent but as of now the cupboards are still pretty bare, need to make some more trades still. Also if they keep both 1st rounders next year that will help out alot.

Suns have plenty of talent. Unfortunately it's unbalanced talent, and we don't have any players with real upside. We pretty much know what we are going to get from everyone at this point it's just about playing with chemistry.

No, we made a trade last week that reduced the talent. We had two near all-star level players and got two subs and a player way past his prime. Management was foolish. We had good talent. Now, not so much. Effort can only take you so far.

i agree... my problem with trading J-Rich was that he brought passion and fire with him other than Dudley.. This team is so dead! We need a powerful and energetic superstar. we've always had one, wether it be matrix, STAT, or JRich. now we just have soft players.

and i HATED the phoenix crowd. they should literally feel shameful. The crowd used to be something i was proud of. i remember when freakin Pat Burke went in the game, everyone went crazy. but now, a crucial new member (gortat) went in, yet dead silence from the crowd. thats a shame. and wen we make a run, there's no energy from the crowd. its almost as if the 'fans' just come to games to enjoy suns' opponents play. its ridiculous.

No this team needs someone by the name of Amare Stoudemire.

Blake Griffin wouldn't hurt, as well.

Let's make a call to Karl Malone. With the Suns medical staff he'll be averaging 18 and 11!

Shawn Kemp in his Sonics days would work too, but nowadays he's shaped like Jahidi White

Yeah would be a huge help to have someone who can face up and attack the basket. That is the missing piece.

Plus he's been wearing his Shape-Ups from Sketchers so he's back in shape
SHAZAM!

Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.

If Amare was here, we would be at least 3rd in the West, and with a hope of a chance of contending. Now we're stuck with no hope of contending, and long, expensive contracts.

Afraid it's true. We need someone that Nash can feed inside. It's so frustrating watching him drive and create a shot for a big guy, only to find out that they won't even catch his passes or just turn it over. He must be super frustrated too.

Meh, Amare was never going to win a championship.

Really, you don't like these contracts? We have two complete units...

Nash/Dragic
Dudley/Pietrus
Childress/Hill
Frye/Warrick
Fropez/Gortat

...all for like 47 million. Warrick is overpaid, but that's still not a huge chunk of cash.

We don't yet know what the new guys are going to bring with time in the system. Carter might be a wonderful fit, but even if he isn't, he's basically an expiring contract and our perimeter will be fine without him.

Here's the thing, 14 out of the 27 games the Suns have played have been against teams that registered 50 or more wins last season. The fact that Phoenix is 13-15 heading into January is to be commended because it's all downhill from here. I have no doubt this is a playoff team.

I just wanted the team to demonstrate more of that underdog spirit. You know that fire when we pushed the Lakers to six games in the finals. At some point we all believed in the team. Hey we might be able to win a championship.
Nobody believed in this game. Nobody felt there was something to prove to critics.

Well in order for the Suns to be an elite team, they should be beating the elite teams. Nash sounds frustrated as hell, and we no longer have a go to guy who can score at will.
