I've always wanted the Suns to come out and play like champions... that's like every game is game 7 of a best of 7 series. They don't. That's why they aren't winning. No intensity, effort, or heart right now. It's a "poor us"

Look, even if we only lose 20 more games this season, we're at 48-34. This is NOT good.

They made a good trade last week which brought back more talent but as of now the cupboards are still pretty bare, need to make some more trades still. Also if they keep both 1st rounders next year that will help out alot.

No, we made a trade last week that reduced the talent. We had two near all-star level players and got two subs and a player way past his prime. Management was foolish. We had good talent. Now, not so much. Effort can only take you so far.

We are improved overall, the players just aren't clicking. We have more talent now. Just aren't utilizing it.

Clark is a bust / scrub. Hedo didn't work hard for us. And I was sad to see J-Rich go, but he wouldn't have been extended here anyhow.

You are exactly right. JRich and Hedo> VC, Pietrus and Gortat. The trade was made to fit pieces into our system. But when those pieces aren't fitting, you better have some talent to help you out, but we don't have talent.

We have a perfect compliment of role players..... If we had a Lebron, Kobe, Dirk, Wade or AMARE we'd be elite like last year; but we don't and we won't get that player. The Suns will have to get lucky and draft or develope that player, by that time buh bye Holy One.

Ask the Holy One. When he turned the ball over in the second half he jus QUIT!!! He didn't even chase the play down....and guess what? They missed!!!!!

No one ever nitpicks the Holy One when he plays horrible defense (all the time), turns the ball over and doesn't hustle. All we focus on is his assists. Too bad we didn't do that with Amare (only focus on offense)......The only reason I'll let the Holy One off of the hook is he isn't on a max contract and Amare wanted one.

Do you know why our bench looked like it had never played together before?

It's because the bench has never played together before.

We were trying to incorporate two new guys. I really don't think "effort" was the problem. We missed so many open shots(Hill's midrange pullup...where'd it go?).

Nash didn't seem too upset after the game, and I wasn't either. I don't know what kind of storybook fairy tale people were expecting. "We have a brand new team that's never played together! They will rise up and defeat LeBron James and Chris Bosh!"

Really?

Nash plays average defense. He's not great, but not terrible. He puts out a lot of energy on the offensive side of the ball he can only be average on the defensive side. But he's the best offensive PG in the NBA, and has been the best PG in the NBA all-around the past 4 or 5 years.

Got free internet at the airport. :D Got 2 hours to kill so I thought I might as well post a bit.

Anyway, I it's not the effort that annoyed me. It was probably the fact that CARLOS AROYYO was killing us with his jumpshots.

I like Pietrus, Hill, VC and Dudley rotation. I am done with Chill, because he still appears to be the odd man out. One positive VC is only 1 and 1/2 years older than Kobe and the same age as Pierce, so who knows.

I for one wasn't expecting to see us look good after one game. Practice is definitely not the same as a game. People were ready to throw the book at Orl and the trade 2 games ago. Look how they made the Spurs look really weak last night.

I just hate the fact that we are so reliant on Nash.

Not an excuse. Orlando almost defeated Dallas on Monday. They've clearly demonstrated more effort. You saw Hedo guarding Dirk down that stretch? It was scary. Like a little below Bruce Bowen type of scary. If your offense sucked, you can always do something on the defensive end. Instead, we see Chris Bosh making shots in the paint (when his money is actually a mid-range game) and Lebron walking down the paint and dunking all over the place.

None of us was expecting a win. I just expected them to try harder. Our defense rotations are absolutely horrendous even though we actually had more time to practice (compared with Orlando). The effort was not there. Period.
