When: 8:00 PM ET, December 23, 2010
Where: Amway Center, Orlando, FL

VS

Starting Lineups:

Spurs:
PG - Tony Parker
SG - Manu Ginobli
SF - Richard Jefferson
PF - Tim Duncan
C - Dejuan Blair

Magic:
PG - Jameer Nelson
SG - J.J. Reddick
SF - Jason Richardson
PF - Hedo Turkoglu
C - Dwight Howard

Tonights going to be our first look at the revamped Orlando Magic. And the key to tonights game is going to be containing Dwight Howard. He's been playing great lately and we're going to have to do our best to stop him from getting easy points.

Sorry this is so late guys but i've been crazy busy lately.

Go Spurs!!

How come there is no activity in this thread? This should be a good game.

At the game right now and all I got to say is.... Mrs. Tony Longoria can't handle the Magic tonight!

The Spurs should never lose to teams that feature Hedo Turkoglu. Embarrassing.

^^Hey now, Hedo is beast in the Magic system. He thrives in Stan's pick-and-roll-heavy offense.
Remember when Kobe elbowed Jameer in the chin so hard Jameer was knocked down and sent skidding across the floor?

Spurstalk is often very active at Spurs game, though i hate to write about every play of the game. I prefer watching the game and afterwards write in the forum.

Spurs are looking tired right now, and playing the 2nd game of a b2b on the road really doesn't help. Very possitive to have the big 3 playing 20 minutes today. Taugh schedule is starting and we need some rest of the old guys.
I really hate fans that said this team is crap after playing against 2 good teams on a b2b (1 on the road) because we lose tonight. 25-4 as*holes and we aren't going to finish the RS with an 79-3 record, so losing against the Magics, tonight, isn't a bad lose..
Of course there's a lot to improve, but...it's only DECEMBER!!!

Not much to complain about this season, but damn, allowing 123 points on 60% shooting?

Bruce Bowen just threw up in his mouth a bit over this game.

This was an obvious loss before the game even started IMO. Our best chance was to hang on until the 4th quarter where we could possibly have it come down to who execute better. Unfortunately, we were down like almost 20 points (atleast 15 if i recall) by the start of 4th quarter. Add that we're on b2b, away, and tired, we had no chance. We beat them last time we're at home so that's even more extra motivation.

Anyways, I think from here on out is where we'll really see if our uptempo game is something that can become our identity.

First trimester is usually where teams don't really know about each other. Opponents are still surprised at how much we feature the perimeter game and the faster pace.

2nd trimester (now) will be the big test because teams now know how we play and they'll make it their gameplan to slow us down and limit fastbreak points (like Magic did). Question is, can we still force the issue like Phoenix does? Teams like Phoenix, you know they run, you gameplan around it, yet they still run. The Spurs are basically newbies when it comes to running. We've been so comfortable with the slow pace that if teams take away the running game, we just revert back to our old former self instead of keep on running.

I think this next 20-30 games is a great indication of what type of team we are.

Right now, it's down to six teams, three in each conference:

Us, Lakers and Mavs.

Magic, Celtics and Heat.
