No matter what anyone says, you guys have a very good team here. Players like Noah and Rose have shown a lot already in the postseason and will be cornerstones for a long time. Boozer is a nice addition even though I dont really like him as a second option. Thibs let's your team play a style that I think a lot of older NY fans appreciate, gritty, hard nosed defense as the base with a well executing offense. If you guys would have a SG or if Deng would be a little more aggressive, watch out.

As for my Knicks, we are a good team. Finally. Not a great team but a good, solid team that can beat anyone on any given night. They play team basketball, are playing as a unit and have two great leaders in Stoudemire and Felton. I like what I see but just as it is the thing with your team, we still have some things to work on.

Merry christmas to all of you and keep the love for the game!

thank you for the classy post. and knicks are a good team. hope we meet in the playoffs this year. Drose vs amare is gonna be great.

Knicks fans, gotta love em

They're still hanging their hats on 2 championships from the early 70s. No reason they can't do that with two regular season games.

This is the same fan base that thinks it's some Cadillac franchise because they play in MSG and John Starks dunked that one time.

You are right we aren't good defensively.....do you think missing our C and best interior defender/rebounder doesn't have any affect on our D?

I respect Knick fans because they are knowledgeable about basketball but, this is ridiculous.

You guys are a good defensive team, but your offense is nowhere close to matching your defense. Even with Noah, I dont see you winning this game. The Knicks showed that they can pickup their defense and play good defense, the Bulls still havent shown that they can match our offense. Its that simple.

Rerisen wrote:Rose didn't need to shoot 28 times, he had some bad ones, but he probably did have to shoot 25 times.

It's the wrong idea if people expect him to routinely succeed at this workload level. His TS% has been so low because he can't succeed near that volume of shots.

We definitely need one more weapon. Boozer isn't enough and this was predictable based on how bad the offense was last year. Boozer alone doesn't take you from 27 to top 10 offense. When Deng has a vanishing first half like he did, Rose is going to have to shoot a ton and the team becomes easy to defend.

Problems are wider than one player - other than the Bogans issue, which obviously needs correction as a stand alone problem.

so true. paxson going to have to get another player that can at least take attention off rose and boozer. its good we have a 1 2 punch with them but deng doesnt dominate in the sense of rose and boozer so its very important to look at courtney lee and i choose him cause he has size and can defend and on a hot nights can score at a volume chi needs. his main concern is playing d first before scoring but can score good when his number is called. and more then a sg i feel chi need a backup pg even more. cause if cj watson could help in any shape or way we could have rose at sg but watson cant even make that possible. i think chi risk if they make a trade and not get a player who cant score and defend both. lee seems the best canidate. this is a defensive team. im praying for asik

and even rose and gordon with salmons wasnt enough to beat a imcomplete boston team so when noah gets back its important to have a capable sg that can give u at least 8-12 points a night with very good/decent defense. and thats more then what bogans and brewer can gvie us. and i still think brewer and korver should be untouchable in any trades cause they give u very solid debth and can turn into perfect role players at any given day.

and the back up point guard position is in very serious discussion and omer asik needs to tough'n up big time i still think he can turn it around just not this season or least i dont see it now

If there is any reason I would have liked us to win this meaningless regular season game (meaningful if we had a full roster and still lost), it is that I didn't want to walk in on massive trolling.

Everyone else makes mistakes, granted, but I absolutely can't stand to see Bogans pass on shots he's supposed to take.

We beat you guys twice, yes twice, we beat Denver, OKC, we were less than half a second of beating Boston and scored 114 on their championship elite defense, we scored over 100+ on your supposedly elite defense. I really fail to see where you guys are getting this idea that your better, let alone far superior like many of you think. Maybe thats the problem with your players as well, underrating us and in the end its costing you. Injuries and schedules are part of the game, stop looking for excuses is all Im saying.

The reasons were pretty clearly understandable. If you can't get them then you are probably being blinded by homerism.

The Bulls have beat good teams too. Denver, Dallas, Lakers, OKC, several of those missing Carlos Boozer.

The facts are the Bulls have faced tougher opponents overall and are beating teams by bigger margins on average than the Knicks despite that.

We matched you for about 42 minutes until our offense went cold. I think our offense is fine...no need for drastic adjustments.

You're ignoring the all important Danilo Gallinari spiked hair factor. That's worth at least 5 spots in the power rankings.

Nice hard fouling Amare...the league is boring...

NY vs Chi is good for sports in general...

BTW....stop acting like girls and whining because another teams fans talk trash. MODs MODS please BAN THEM! LOL It's all in good fun man..its just sports...that dude BJ's posts are reading like he's crying behind the monitor. Dude made numerous threats in the game thread..thats ok?

Anyway....Bulls had a pretty bad game...The Knicks are clearly the more athletic team....Pringles system is lethal when he has the right players..

Im praying we meet them in the first round...What a wonderful series it would be..

Landry Fields is nice...today was my first time really seeing him.

Brewer shoulda dunked that ****. Blowing a wide open gimmie...in MSG...on Christmas? Embarrassing.

Hope everyone here contines to have a blessed day.

Happy B-day Jesus

good post...dont understadn th ewhining like little girls...they beat our butts...big deal...we've owned them and the pip Dunk over ewing is the perfect representation of where that frnachise stands next to us. let them have their fun and let's pray Gar Pax find us a SG-and strealing Landy Fields from them would a be a double whammy to them as its a plus 1 to us and minus 1 to them.

MY is going to het melo one way or another. It will happen because melo wants to play there. So what! lets help both melo and NY get to where they are going and bring Fields our way in the process.

Also need to dump CJ for a true vet type PG that will pass the ball. And develop JJ.

Bulls do those things and we will be fine.

I went to a game in 2008 when we beat the Knicks. Our starting frontcourt that night was Gray and Gooden. I went to the game in a Tyrus Thomas jersey and Vinny promptly gave him a DNP-CD :(

I'll get some photos us when I can. For some reason my iphone and macbook arent connecting together at the moment (think I need to update my itunes but my USB modem I got here in the states is ridiculously slow :( - stupid apple!)

Ok here I can make excuses too

Bulls core has had more time to build chemistry because their main pieces have been together for several years while the Knicks core is playing for the first time this year after being retooled this summer

Pretty evident the lackluster 3-headed shooting guard monster sucks. The Bulls have a 3rd stringer starting. Any points out of Brewer is extra. Korver is folding a bit from being the ONLY scorer on the second team. Other teams know shutting down Korver means you shut down the Bulls' bench. Besides an actual starting shooting guard the Bulls need to find a secondary scorer to match with Korver on the second team. The Bulls are a couple of players away even if Noah comes back.

I hate losing to inferior teams and yes the Knicks are an inferior team, but the Bulls did deserve to lose this game. But the sad thing is...............the wins against the Bulls mean more to the Knicks fans then it would for the Bulls fans.

But ultimately three things will happen before the year is over:

A: The Bulls will split the season series with the Knicks.
B: The Bulls will finish the season with a significantly better record then the Knicks. (More then 10 wins difference)
C: The Knicks embarrassingly gets booted from the playoffs by either the Celtics or the Heat. As much as I mega-loathe both Boston and Miami, having the Knicks get swept by either team will be delicious.

In closing, the Bears whupping the Jets tomorrow and severely damaging their playoff chances will more then make up for today.

Return to Chicago Bulls
