I absolutely don't believe the Bulls and Knicks are in the same tier. You can only come to that conclusion by approaching the issue superficially: looking at "record against teams over .500" or overemphasizing the two head-to-head match ups. An in-depth look at important factors such as strength of schedule and margin of victory gives no indication that the Knicks are in our league; for instance, entering today, Hollinger's rankings had the Bulls at 3rd and the Knicks at 17th (and those rankings are completely unaware of injuries). The Bulls have had the 7th most difficult schedule and the Knicks have had the 29th. The Bulls have the sixth best point differential and the Knicks have the fourteenth. Hey, give the Knicks credit, they played quite well against the soft part of their schedule and came out with a bunch of wins as a result. However, that doesn't put them in the same class as the Bulls who, after winning some awfully tough match ups and racking up some impressive blowouts, appear to be one of the better teams in the league.

Without Noah and an underachieving Taj... we're about even. They have more SG/SF depth.

I still feel this team needs some kind of fight/scuffle on the court just to bring out a different side to them, I want to see them fighting for each other, playing with an edge, even dirty to some degree

Damn, so he was indeed a black hole today.

Eh, not really. The rest of the team was just worthless. At one point, I disitinctly remember wanting Rose to just go ahead and take all the shots. Rose just wasn't that good, was the problem. He was also too careless with the ball.

Agree all the way, we need to play with an edge and put up more of a fight. That's why i can't really take us seriously after this game. I know we didn't play the best basketball today and did some stupid things, but sometimes when we lose badly it's most of the time when teams plays us really physical. This is what we have to do as well along with getting some more help offensively.

I got the feeling watching the game the team really had no passion to win, they just wanted to get through the game. There was no sense of the rivalry we fans feel. It sucks when it seems as though we fans want it more then the team. Thats what I hated the most about this game, the lack of fight.

I agree.

I think Rose is starting to get angry after getting hit. He just needs his bigger teammates to show some mean streak.

Rose got hit by Amare during a drive in the first quarter and he fell down hard. Then later in the game, when Boozer got called for a moving screen, Amare hit Rose again hard after the play. That can't happen, specially since Amare was not called for a foul or a tech in either plays. Protect DRose, show some passion.

I truly think that we are one of the softest teams in the league just letting other teams out work us and be physical. I know we can do better than this at least i think i do.

Yep, we need an Oaktree type enforcer. It's not like we don't have room on the roster...I guess Garpax must have a plan.

Guys, i think GarPax realise our weaknesses, and i believe they will address it. We need a enforcer, we need a 2 guard. The guys we need are not easy to come by.

I believe our FO is extremly competant, and are working to the grand prize, though in the mean time, the guys we have have to come up with a bit of agro, a bit of spark. Expecting one move to change all that can be blind faith.

We need some crazies on this team. An Antonio Davis type of player. We need someone who would stick up for their teammates and annoy the hell out of the other team's players.

Bigs like that are hard to come by. I thought we brought Kurt Thomas in for this purpose but he doesn't really look like the type to get in a guy's face so far.

When you get your pathetic argument rebutted, you come back with this gem. The bulls have a better record coming off the much tougher schedule and that's all that needs to be said. Your the one coming up with excuses. The knicks are not a better team then the bulls.

I don't understand this though, you guys were good enough to beat the Dallas mavericks/ Denver Nuggets without Boozer. Yet the " we're missing such and such player " excuse gets brought up when you lose to the Knicks twice? So the wins according to alot of people here don't count...Oh well there's another game in april lets hope both teams will be FULLY HEALTHY

Think whatever you want. The Bulls are a better team than the Knicks, it's really not even a discussion.

Good game, Rose didn't have his best game, turnovers were high. But he and Boozer kept them in the game. Knicks were making 3s, they live and die off that 3 point line. There was a nice stretch in the 3rd where Rose had a floater then a reverse layup brought them back in the game. Team needs Noah to really achor the defense, but i'll hold judgement until Taj comes back 100%. This is a matchup though that I wan't to see in the playoffs, hopefully first round. two very evenly matched teams.

Rose is something unreal though. Just never ceases to amaze me. I wish he took more pride in the defensive end though on trying to stop his guy from scoring. Felton was doing whatever he wanted to Rose and Bull's defense on pick and roll situation.

Both teams are a piece or two from being in the Bos, Mia, LA,Spurs, Mavs class.
OJ Mayo , Michael Jordan , Allen Iverson.
