Lakers 17 Celtics 17

Post#1 » by DoctorS » Sat Dec 25, 2010 1:01 am

On 24th of April 1963 Boston Celtics beat the Lakers 112-109 in LA Memorial Sports Arena to win their 6th NBA Championship. By doing so they became the best basketball club off all times and they have been considered so ever since. In defending their claim to be the best club of all times, Celtics have wan 17 NBA Championships and have been run away leaders in decades. But this season we could be watching history. If Lakers tree peat this season, that will be their 17th Championship and Celtics will no longer be considered the best club in basketball.

I know the Lakers are tired, but they can not have better motivation than making the history.

We are on the same side. I agree Lakers are better. But the fact is, Celtics have wan more Championships and as long as that is the case, they can have the claim of being the best. Hopefully they will lose that claim in June.

If were talking about all of sports, I thought that label belonged to the Yankees. I may be wrong tho.
None the less, we have been far more consistent then the celtics, but have always been thought to be behind them just because of our titles.
- lakers tie the celtics
- another Phil Jackson three peat
- Phil Jackson stating this is his last stand
- Kobe tying jordan in terms of titles
- potential third finals MVP for Kobe, tying shaq

I believe that is enough motivation for the lakers

and with arrest auctioning off his ring, looks like we have to get him another one ;)

No our winning percentage is way above the Yankees in fact we took it over from the Raiders.

But titles are the most important stat for the club calming to be the best off all times. When Lakers win 17th they can claim to be bigger due to other stats being better. But as long as Celtics have more titles they will always be considered bigger.
