Question about Nick Young

Hey guys, I'm a Knicks fan but I've always liked Nick Young and I've noticed he's been putting up close to 20 a game in December after not getting a chance for what now seems like way too long. What do you guys think about him, is he the real deal? There's a lot of young talent on this team, if Young develops with Wall and McGee this team could be pretty exciting to watch. He is the real deal. He's making tough shots at a high clip, even without John Wall in the lineup. He doesn't have a great post presence but still hits his shots from the perimeter. His finishing at the basket has improved. Still needs to work on his midrange came but it will come along.

Consistency has been a problem with Young but it seems he has found it.

I think he's the real deal. He's always struggled with consistency before this season, but e has been VERY consistent so far this season. He has a sweet stroke and hits a lot of contested shots. This is the longest stretch I can remember of him scoring at this rate, so it definitely isn't a fluke and I don't expect him to slow down anytime soon. He is even starting to drive to the basket more and is starting to get to the free-throw line at a reasonable clip. He as also been playing good defense. Before this season, he was known as a bad defender, but he has arguably been the Wizards best perimeter defender this season.He is SUPER one-dimensional though. He won't bring much to table table except scoring. I really think that if he remains I the starting lineup, that he can develop int a +25 ppg scorer.

I echo the comments above. Young is definitely the real deal, but he is also one-dimensional. If you are looking for great passing, decision-making and rebounding from the guard spot, Young isn't your man. But the kid can definitely put the basketball in the hole and he'll give you good D at the other end.
