Looks like the Rams will probably win the division, then? Or do they still need to win next week? I hope they win either way, would be nice not have them be 7-9 and get the playoff spot.

Whoever wins next week wins the division.

TB winning means if ATL wins monday, then next weeks saints-bucs game will be for a playoff spot. Which will be awesome. Fun playoff like week next week.

I would re-phrase that. Whoever wins the Rams-Seahawks game next week doesn't lose the West.

Packers and Rodgers specifically are absolutely abusing the Giants.

Eli with 4 picks.

Singletary may not coach next week, according to Jed York. Gee thanks Jed, but I think that's about 10 weeks too late.

Go Texans!
We watched the tragedy unfold. We did as we were told, we bought and sold. It was the greatest show on Earth...but then it was over.

I really hope the Rams make it. They deserve it more than those awful Seahawks.

I can't believe that the Seahawks have lost 3 straight blow out games and still have a chance to make the playoffs :nonono:

So glad my Niners are done with the playoffs, top 7 pick here we come!

Sounds like Singletary won't make it through the week. He shouldn't. Mike Singletary is the biggest joke as a head coach since Rich Kotite. Completely inept and totally over his head.

Also sounds like Gary Kubiak will definitely be fired after next week even if the Texans win...which they won't.

The Titans are doing their best to get Jeff Fisher fired. He might quit first.

One Browns insider strongly believes Mangini is done, another isn't so sure. I'm guessing he lost his future when he lost to the Bengals last week.

Marvin Lewis will not be back in Cincy, his choice. He obviously won't come out and say that, but he knows he'll get a better job elsewhere next year.

John Fox won't be back in Carolina and he's not shying away from saying so in private.

I'm hearing that Tom Coughlin is skating on thin ice but I'll believe he's fired when it happens and not a minute beforehand. He's so underappreciated by New York fans who haven't a clue what they've got.

Mike Florio insists major changes are coming in Miami and I believe him. Maybe they can start by controlling all the freaking trash that blows around the stadium during games...

Jack Del Rio is either a dead man walking or needs a playoff berth miracle in JAX, depending on who you talk to.

I strongly believe Jason Garrett will keep the Dallas job. I think Minnesota's defensive performance in the final two games will determine if Leslie Frazier keeps that job.

That's a lot of coaching jobs open. Potentially. Should be a fun offseason on the coaching carousel.

Firing a coach with one week to go seems like a joke to me. If the Niners really cared about making the playoffs, they should have fired him after week 5.

That being said, I'm sure it's happened before, but when is the last time an NFL coach was fired a week before the end of the season?

My god, Seattle making the playoffs would be the funniest thing ever. They are **** terrible. They should be like a 3-13 team, dunno how they won those Chicago and SD games and the rest is the NL West. And if New Orleans misses at the same time? lawl

I still think Singletary is a great guy to have on your staff, probably not as a head coach- but he has not had a Quarterback his whole tenure. His defense has some studs but also a couple holes, and its tough to judge them because they have played pretty well but have rarely ever played with a lead or with an offense who can posses the ball for any time. I'm assuming Singletary mostly helps out with the defense and that has been promising at times looks to have a pretty bright future. The problem lies with the QB play and offensive consistency. However, i think that singletary's passion is up there with any coaches in the league and he definetly belongs somewhere whether as a DC or a LB coach or a HC in a better situation later down the road. He's a guy you wanna see do well

Singletary is gone!!

Mike Singletary was fired when 49ers returned to practice facility this evening, Jed York just told me. Jim Tomsula takes over as interim.

is it just me or does Adrian look a little hesitant behind his Oline? Ive kinda noticed it all this season but his Oline is not very good/consistent. He used to get the ball and explode but now he kinda looks not very confident when he gets the ball and he has to wait and see whats happening infront of him because noones being blocked consistently.

Rumors are that Favre will get off with only a fine and nothing else for his escapades.

If Tony Softli gets a management position in SF, John Fox will be a real safe bet to be their next head coach.

I think Leslie Frazier earned the Minnesota job last night. If the Wilfs are foolish enough to let him go he can pick which job he wants. He's be perfect for Carolina with their young talent on defense and strong running game.
