So your saying you want our future and our capspace for the two best guys on a losing team. No thank you. Btw Slone would kill Jackson.

Re: Thoughts on this trade...
What I am saying is that I think that a Lineup of Williams, Jackson, Wallace, Milsap, and Jefferson; along with a bench of Raja, CJ, Okur, Watson, Price, and Fesenko would be formidable and give the Jazz the pieces they need for a couple of years to win it.
I suppose the status quo is fine. I don't dislike the team as it's assembled now, but do think that Sloan could handle Jackson. Everyone says Sloan would kill Jackson or that the acquisition of Jackson would kill Jerry, but Jackson plays hard and would give the Jazz a scorer. Wallace would replace what AK brings, hell he would replace what all three players going to Char produce by himself.
Sloan expects players to come, play hard and do their damn jobs. I don't think that either Wallace or Jackson would have an issue with that expectation.

Charlotte would do it for just AK. Well, they should but they won't because they think they have a shot which they don't.

No, thanks. Much rather roll the dice on how Gordon, Jeremy, and and Ante will turn out.

I'm of two minds about this. I personally think there are a lot of unknowns about the future of this Jazz franchise. How much longer are the Jazz going to have Sloan around? Will the new CBA benefit the Jazz or hurt them? How long will the season be next year if there is one?
Depending on what you believe the answers to those questions are, it might be the right time to trade some prospects and an expiring contract for a couple of guys that could immediately help this team.

I wonder if AK and Tomic for Roy is possible. That's a blow up move for Portland that gives them cap room. They aren't the types to worry about money, especially if the CBA changes.

This isn't exactly on topic but I find it funny that the Bulls signed Korver and Brewer and yet are still looking for more wing help. That feels familiar.

Huh? There is not a team in the league that will take Roy's contract. Have you not followed the news regarding his knees?

I didn't realize it was that dire. He won't ever return to all-star form?

Article is a bit old but essentially his all-star days are probably over.

Re: Thoughts on this trade...
Don't quite get the logic, Delaney. If it weren't that dire and he WAS going to return to All Star form, why would they trade him?

Roy will be lucky to be able to walk when he hits his mid-30's.
