Board is dying because the majority of the posters were T-Mac & Yao bandwagoners.

Gives you a chance to seperate the real from the fake.

Ehh I don't think it's just that. I think it's coz of the competition from the 'site that shall not be named'

I think FrESH hit the nail on the head. Clutchfans has always been around and this forum was vibrant. There were a ton of Yao and T-Mac fans that basically had little vested interest in the Rockets outside of the fact that there favorite player played for the team. A few evolved into real Rockets fans after years of rooting for the team, but the majority of those guys have no real reason to root for this team without there guy. I understand it, no big deal. Lots of fans root for players and the teams by default. Look how many "diehard" Miami Heat fans there are now and how many people suddenly root for OKC for example. Durant and Westbrook capture the imagination of fans. The Rockets currently don't have a player like that who demands the attention of the basketball world. Just a bunch of good to mediocre players on a mediocre team.

Another factor is that many posters here aren't from Houston... some are even from overseas.

Also, tits.

I resemble that Remark.

I have been around for a while. A true Rockets fan!

yeah, 2006/2007 was when I got active, and this board had a lot of posters, Vator's right though a majority were I'd say T-Mac fans. After McGrady started to slightly decline a majority of those guys disappear, but it's all good :D

IIRC you're formerly known as the poster, McGrady?

I like the obnoxious little band of misfits we've assembled here!

Welcome back OP.

To add to what Fresh and Vator said,

I think everyone on these forums has his/her own personal life that is larger than basketball, and likewise, some of the veteran posters here have become more occupied with school, work or family.

I feel like I should post something simply to show I'm not a bandwagon fan...I'm just lazy.

Are you really KD's neighbor? I see updates about you on KD's facebook everyday. I agree with you about people going to the "site that shall not be named" instead of realgm though. I'm a member of that site, but I personally think realgm is better. The good thing about that site is that you could post links to games. Mods on realgm usually delete links. The bad thing about that site is that the mods there seem even more strict. I posted a link to Kev Mart's website and it got deleted by a mod.
