Your right, I just noticed that on the replay. Funny thing is I'm not even really mad about it, lol.

Sure... even though the Clippers were missing their starting C and two bench players...but I guess it's baby steps to only lose by 1 this time...

Clippers went cold from down town and started turning the ball over again late.

I think it's finally time to start looking at a Daly/Cousins starting lineup. Daly did just fine against Griffin. If he can guard a guy with his athleticism he can guard anybody.

I bet Westphal catches the blame for once again not calling a timeout, but he really shouldn't. I think letting his players play on was fine.

Reke looked really good after a few days rest. Wonder how long before he tailspins back down?

New lineups, same team, no half court system. Some really good passes from Reke and Cousins tonight though. There's the system of the future, how distant a future? How long ya got?

Westphal clearly agrees in his postgame interview.

To where? This team essentially played no differently than they have all season. The entirety of the Kings identity was held on the basis of causing turnovers, hammering the offensive glass, and taking more shots than the other team. Clippers had 19 turnovers. Kings are great at causing turnovers, but I'd much rather see a team that gets you more than 18 assists on what appeared to be a really good "team" game. Kings still lost and they only reason they didn't is because we were drilling it from downtown. Congrats to Westphal on finally playing his best shooters in Cisco and Omri, but there is still no proper utilization of his best talent.

Cousins gets absolutely no respect. I'm so sick of "rookie call" bull crap. Can't wait until next year. If there is one of course. :x

Cousins was definitely yanked on his tip attempt off Reke's missed free-throw!

True, but he was fouled on the previous play. And if it was not a foul, it's clearly a jump ball.

Regardless, I'm just glad to see Tyreke look like the Tyreke from last year. If he can build of this game and continue to work at it, I'm totally happy with it.
Sometimes you just have to look yourself in the mirror and say....Tyreke Evans.
That just happened.

This was the first game I went to this year and had pretty good seats in the lower bowl. I noticed three main things about our team (2 of them important).

1. Cousins On television sometimes Cousins looks kind of overweight and slow and awkward moving. In person, he looks much more athletic than tv and not overweight at all (this is the not important one)

2. Perimeter Defense: Throughout the game our perimeter defense was just awful. Normally we look to our big men for defense but its important to note our perimeter guys have to D up too. By perimeter defense in this game I am referring to Tyreke Evans, Francisco Garcia, Beno, Pooh and Casspie. They leave guys WIDE open from behind the arc, sag waaaaay too far off their men and dont hustle at all. Its seriously ridiculous. We let Eric Gordon get off for 31 and he barely even broke a sweat. We were leaving him WIDE OPEN. I couldn't believe it.

3. Rebounding: I think this was pretty obvious. They outrebounded us 48-34 and there were 2 or 4 possesoins where they had OVER 4 shot attempts in ONE possesion. This is just unforgivable and a huge part of our losing this game.

I actually don't care about Donte anymore. He has not proved anything these last three years.

Got to go to my first Kings game tonight. It was a great one, very exciting 4th quarter. A few observations:

1. Cousins did get yanked down, but they also started the clock late. Tyreke's last attempt should have never gotten off. Or maybe I just came up with that to justify the miss, 'cause I felt terrible for 'Reke...

2. Tyreke did look more like his last-year self, but he still seemed to me to be a step slow and favoring that foot. Still missed a couple layups he normally wouldn't and really, got his 30 points because of his jumper, not getting into the lane at will like last year.

That's about it. Exciting game, I hope you guys pull it together this year. 'Reke seems like a good guy and you have some fun young players.
