I don't agree with Sloan going with Hayward late in the game. Needed CJ's scoring. Jazz were FG-less from the 5 min mark to like the 1 min mark or something. CJ needed to be in there. Sloan said as much after the game.

The Jazz missed a TON of gimmes while Portland built their last lead in the fourth. I think that field goal drought included four missed layups.

But I agree that they needed CJ in there to provide another scoring option.

We suck at home.

This is the worse loss of the season by far. Just came out totally flat and gave it away. You could tell from the get go that Portland had more energy then us and we never matched it.

I'm so sick of how flat this team is, even our energy packed bench is coming out flat now.

Did anyone else notice how much better we rebounded with Memo in the game?? I think the time is coming where Millsap has to go back to the bench and start Al with Memo.

I wasn't sure about this at the start of the year, but I think I like this idea now. I think the second unit will benefit more from Millsap than from Memo. It also staggers Miles' & Memo's minutes so there's almost always a 3-pt threat on the court.

I'm on the "start Memo n AJ" bandwagon....I think he n Al's game mesh more than Al n Sap's plus maybe I was imaging things but I thought there were a cpl times that CJ blew off plays that were called for Memo leading to confusion for the rest of the bench....Sap's hust/garbage game would blend well with CJ's every shot is a good shot game...IMHO

I've already stated in an Okur or Jazz line up related thread... Williams-Bell-AK-Al-Okur is the better starting line up for us. But Millsap shouldn't lose too much of his minutes off the bench though.

Millsap plays better as the glue guy, not the 2nd/3rd option.

I disagree. I think Millsap plays better if you run more plays for him. And I think that will happen if he comes off the bench.

Agreed on both counts.

Do you guys think we'd have been better with Boozer and Millsap than Jefferson and Millsap? Because those are basically the only two options.

Doesn't matter, if we still had Carlos, eventually Memo would get his starting spot back. In fact, Boozer would provide enough offense that Sloan may even start Fes or Elson with Boozer.
