I can't even think about what they would have to offer.

The only reason to trade him would be if we know he's that damaged that he never will be the same player again because the Bulls haven't got much to offer. I hope that isn't the case.

Apparently most of the people posting in that thread know nothing about Webster at all.

OJ Mayo is one of the best defenders in the league, hes a two way player and hes a great passer and playmaker.

I like Webster alot, but I guess with him somewhat duplicating Johnson I would be open to trading him but I don't see anything on the Bulls that I would want that they'd be open to moving.

I know the Bulls fans don't even want to move Taj Gibson for him but I don't know if I'd move Webster for Gibson, he was our best player in preseason and since coming back he's been arguably our third best player. He has a great shot and just seems to know how to play basketball.

Maybe if we are thinking about trading for Iggy, but I don't know what to expect back from the Bulls.

This.

I can see Chicago asking about him but I can't see a deal being worked out unless it is part of a larger one involving Iggy, Monta, Mayo, or such.

I don't see how a trade could be made that makes sense for both teams.

Interesting to say the least.

I like Webster A LOT, however, he doesn't look great defending SG's.

I could see something like Ronnie Brewer + Bob's pick for Webster if Kahn felt a need to fix our perimeter defense.

I forgot about the Bobcat's pick. That team is becoming a tire fire, so that pick could have some serious value down the road.

It's an unconfirmed rumor posted by some ballboy. Unless he has a track record with his 36 posts, I don't see any reason to even consider this as a rumor.

I really have no interest in dealing Webster. At a minumum, the guy is a fantastic player off the bench, if not a starter. I'd be perfectly Ok will planning on him being our primary sub for both the 2 and the 3. Brewer and the pick are at least worth discussing. I'm not sure if Charlotte's pick extends beyond 2012, but it's for that year and is lottery protected (which they'll be in).

I saw we keep the guy and be Ok with the fact that we have a really solid 6th man.

I think this is BS, they've got nothing to trade with us. Webster is probably our third best player, certainly the only one who acts like a veteran consistently. I doubt Kahn would move him unless we were getting back an Iggy type... I've been very happy with him. :)

We need more Websters, not less of them.
On this team, Webster’s combination of maturity, veteran leadership, talent and youth make him an asset that would almost place him in the “untouchable category”. Probably no one values him as much as the Wolves.

The only part about this that makes sense is that the Bulls would be interested in him.

There is no way Kahn trades somebody who is such a locker room and on the court plus. He is happy coming off the bench and playing out of position on a struggling young team! Yeah, sure, let's trade him! :eek1:

Kahn paid his ways into POR games to watch Webster, and paid some cap space and the #16 pick to get him here.

I can't imagine CHI making an offer that both they, and Kahn, would be comfortable with.

Not surprising since most of that board is completely uninformed about the rest of the league yet they all have their noses in the air. The Knicks board is the same way but atleast they are humorous instead of taking themselves so seriously.

I think the Wolves seriously do not want to trade Martell and if they did trade him a team would have to offer alot more than Taj Gibson.

.. and they are oh so sensitive. "Clueless" gets a warning?

I miss the old RealGM, when mods didn't feel the need to protect us from crying into our pillow over a callous word.

I agree. I called a fair amount of them clueless, and I get a warning and two PM's from their mommy mod. Amazing. I hope he's wearing his helmet while typing.
