?

Bynum was 3/11 on the game?

it wasnt about bynum's scoring, it was about the havoc he created by being able to get into the paint anytime he wanted. the chaos he created by his penetration is what was setting up their shooters.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh gotcha.

Damn those cheap assists Bynum racked up!!

Yes and Silas brought up DJ's "defense" in his post game pc. Said he's basically a work in progress and was out of position quite few times.

i know most everyone here is really rooting for dj (and honestly, i am too). and it was really nice to see him play with confidence tonight. he can flat out shoot the ball. and i love that he doesnt turn the ball over much. but certainly you guys can see how bad he is on defense at times. it doesnt make you less of a dj fan to admit that the kid is not a good defender sometimes. it shouldnt take anything away from what he did offensively tonight. overlooking dj's defense would be like overlooking jackson's turnovers or diaw's passive play or tyrus' mental lapses or crashes blinders on the break.

This is where DJ ultimately defines if he is a starting-level 1 or a super sub who can score. Either option has value, but we need a true starter. If the FO decides DJ doesn't meet their needs, he can only enhance his trade value with production like tonight.

Jax needs to cut WAY DOWN on the TO's...jeez! But he is a scorer and can be very productive. I'd prefer he gain serious attention toward a solid trade in our favor.

Think Diop was shopped a bit tonight? Kwame get's ZERO burn. Hello Orlando....how'd ya like that big guy backing your all-star?

Tyrus is certainly a mixed bag, with lots of pluses mixed with moments of :eek1: . If we trade Diaw could he really get past all that and be our long-term starter? I'm willing to gamble on him unless we got a heck of a deal.

Nice to get a longer look at Henderson. He's played so little it's hard to make much of a judgement. I'd still be willing to sell him as part of the right trade.

So, good win, but let's see how this plays out over the next several games. I still believe some of these players must go. I'd bet that Crash stays, but Jax, DJ and Diaw are real targets. Tyrus could also go but being a BYC that's really hard to do.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

He has been sort of reminding me of Calderon, playing well offensively, pretty average defensively.

jax - great scoring, clutch, 9 rebounds, plenty of assists.................... but 9 turnovers. NINE.
tyrus - energy, scoring, 5 blocks...............but 6 turnovers, a few brainfarts and two misses to ice the game.
dj - kid can shoot, 10 of 15, no turnovers................. but got roasted by bynum in that 4th quarter, was -14, and in a crucial possession with the ball in his hands and the shot clock running down he hands the ball to boris at the 3pt line with 3 seconds on the shot clock.

how the hell do we ever win against the pistons when they have 3 players who always kill us?

You know why that was.......Bynum was fresh as a daisy in the height of summertime, comin off the bench. DJ - 36 minutes, Bynum - 19.

Sort of reminds me of Nash defensively????? DJ isn't a lock down defender, at least he hasn't got toasted by Jameer.....YET. DJ has defended Bynum really well in our previous meeetings, can't expect an all defensive performance from him every game.

But with better stats at significantly better pay, and with more youth.

You couldn't be worse than that other bum we had to endure and who was just recently fired.

I'm all-in. Batteries don't cost much so MJ could save up enough to buy na extra pick from Phoenix or some other cheap team and most importantly I want to tank anyway. Battery, battery, we want battery, hop on band wagon everyone.
