There still isn't any use for Iguodala on this team at all. It was different when AI was here, but now? No. Let him go think he's Kobe somewhere else.

It's been shown time and time again that he can shoot just fine in catch and shoot situations. Heck, he's a better 3 point shooter than Kobe, Wade, Roy, and Joe Johnson.

If PG's are supposed to facilitate and create, then you can't blame Iguodala for any shot that isn't catch and shoot (which Dbodner showed he was better than 90% of the league at).

So the guy isn't Lebron, deal with it. He's a very talented player who is a very good overall player who is weak in a few areas. Every player has flaws.

Nobody is mad at Iguodala for being what he is. People are mad that he is this team's #1 option and the FO have pumped him up to be a franchise player and he just isn't.

Get that logic out of here.

So you're mad at him for something the front office did? Even better.

I'm mad at my mom because 9/11 happened too.

Note from moderator:

Please try and keep this thread for Iguodala TRADE discussion. It is fine to discuss he relative trade value... but rehashing ongoing arguments/discussions about Iguodala's talents or lack there of hijacks this thread. We have enough threads where people can debate his merits as a player/leader/shooter/#1/#2/#3/distributor/winner/whiner.

Thank you. And may we all hope that whomever trades for Iguodala falls on the "over-valuing his talents" side of the debate.

So lets get this straight. You want to get rid of him because he is this teams #1 option? So its his fault?

What about Brand? He is the one getting paid to be the #1 option, not Iggy. What Iggy makes is his market value as a player, he isn't over paid nor is he underpaid. Market value because what he makes is what he would get on the market if he was a FA.

Not only did some Knicks fans reject trading Gallinari alone for Iguodala, they found it laughable. And here, even with Randolph included, some Sixers fans wouldn't do it.

I'm in the middle here. I think it's a good deal for both teams. I'm a big Iguodala fan but I'm aware that it may best to part ways, both for him and for this team. Obviously we should have no intention of giving him away. Gallinari and Randolph are two very talented young guys who could fit in well here. It would be very tough to get a better deal than that. We may not even be able to get this one.

....you can't get it,not before the who gets Melo movie plays out.

If NY misses the boat on Melo......GO FOR IT. In this era, SALARY can be quite an albatross. A Bloated contract, sucks up trade value like a sponge. Phila might get Gallo,or AR......plus Curry as filler. If NY is giving both....wow.
CENSORED... No comment.

No, I want to get rid of him because there's no need for him on this team anymore.

And what about Brand? I want him trade, too. Shouldn't have signed him in the first place.

I don't find either of those scenarios extreme.

(Which really means I don't place much value in Randolph to sway the needle one way or the other).

Gortat and Pietrus for Iggy. I think the Suns need him more then we do. Pietrus is nice 3 point shooter and Gortat can share minutes with Hawes.

Iguodala remains the Sixers best player though I think that there could be an argument made for Brand. Iguodala does so many "winning" things on the court that on a good team he's be a great player.

I also think he/we put too much stock into what he "should" be doing. He has to average 20. He has to hit game winning shots. He has to be acknowledged as the "star". And so on.

It's a little on the tough side.

With all that said....it's time for him to move on. It just is. If we can get a legit young big for him then he has to go.

If the Wiz want to talk about McGee (for example), then I'm ready to listen to the deal.

Brand>Jrue>Iggy Brand is the MVP of this team. If he wasn't here it would be ugly on the defensive end. He is able to guard centers and power fowards and also figure out a way to get the advantage on them.

or not...

aside from not really liking Lopez (go to the Sun's board and read how he always gets in foul trouble immediately and has to sit, and sucks offensively) and the 1st being worthless... the trade doesn't work.

Carter cannot be traded alone, and the deal as is adds 5M in salary commitments this year, putting us into the tax.
