Are you really KD's neighbor? I see updates about you on KD's facebook everyday. I agree with you about people going to the "site that shall not be named" instead of realgm though. I'm a member of that site, but I personally think realgm is better. The good thing about that site is that you could post links to games. Mods on realgm usually delete links. The bad thing about that site is that the mods there seem even more strict. I posted a link to Kev Mart's website and it got deleted by a mod.

Nah he's just a poser that changed his original forum name. You can find his request in the name-change thread.

Don't remember your name or your avatar. What was your name before. Too lazy to investigate.

In addition to the addition TMU jumped in with...online gaming! :D

Go Texans!
We watched the tragedy unfold. We did as we were told, we bought and sold. It was the greatest show on Earth...but then it was over.

I half-ass my gamethreads, it wouldn't live up to the hype of the game, someone else do it

also, this board is way better than clutchfans, even with the relative inactivity. my brain hurts when i go to clutchfans. it may be active, but its filled with a lot of crap.

I'm only posting from my droid until this virus stuff is resolved.

Doesn't help that I've been increasingly convinced that the league is fixed for 5 years

I remember I joined this board solely based on the fact of how active this board used to be. I always tended to just lurk around the 04-05 playoff series between us and Dallas, and saw the sort of animosity, trash talk between both the fans. And yeah, who used to create the gamethreads were definitely a hot commodity, and the superstitious reasons that went behind who'd make the more "important" game threads, haha.

I also remember the time we used to talk about cereal before game threads to give us "good luck".

I joined this board after hearing people post about it on the ESPN.com basketball forums. Are the ESPN boards even around any more? They were kind of dated even back then, it really sucked actually. RealGM was a massive improvement. Anyone remember that guy named JimInRNow? Hahaha.

Here's a reason for the slow activity that hasn't been brought up -- I think that message boards are kind of going to the wayside. Other social media is taking its place, like Facebook, Twitter, etc. Chat and message forums are old now.

I know that a lot of other message boards I used to visit are dying out as well. Even the RealGM sections for more popular teams like the Lakers or Knicks aren't as active as they were 5 years ago.

I think a lot of people were just tired of being disappointed year after year. I remember this offseason being more exciting than the actual season. But yeah, the Rockets have not once matched the offseason hype. Kind of gets old.

Losing Tmac and Yao doesn't help.

I'm sure a playoff series against the Mavs or Jazz will bring this board alive, though. **** those two teams.
