Javal McGee on the block?
This is one of the few centers in the league that will actually work on this team. If he is really again the Thunder need to go out and get this guy today!

McGee would be aweome for the Thunder!
He could replace Krstic as the starting C and forcing Ibaka to play more PF.
I have my doubts if we go after him and if Brooks is willing to change the lineup, but this would be my wish lineup:
PF: Ibaka / Collison
SF: Durant
C: McGee / Aldrich
SG: Harden / Thabo
PG: Westbrook / Maynor

Life may not be the party we hoped for but while we are here we might as well dance!

Re: Javal McGee on the block?
McGee would be a nice up grade. I think any package of that doesn't have Durant, Westbrook, Ibaka, and Harden in it would be great. I know the kids BBIQ isn't through the roof but he is worth the gamble in my mind.
If Jeff Green were to get traded I think going back home to play in DC would be a nice option. But they do have Rashard Lewis there. Maybe a three team trade?
Man Jeff Green's value is so low right now, no one wants to trade something decent for a rental. If they don't re-sign Jeff for a reasonable contract as the 6th man they should have traded him last year when he had more value.

His attitude seems really bad though.

Blatche has the attitude. McGee is a good guy.

No. To Ibaka for McGee. The Contract situation does not work in our favor. I do think Washington is rebuilding and that a package of Mullens + our first round this year + the 2012 Clippers first round pick should get him in a Thunder Uni.

What would be a fair trade for McGee though? I'm not really sure of his value. Though ideally i would like to see us to include 1 of aldrich/mullens for him. I won't mind taking a chance on Yi too for the value that he might have as a stretch 4.

Why wouldn't Ibaka be a fair trade for McGee?

It's fair! It just is not worth it.

OKC gets a similar player to Ibaka but at the much needed and desired center position. If Brooks and Presti insist on playing Green at power forward then McGee gives the size and potential to make the best out of the situation.

Ibaka's come back down to earth some after his ridiculous start. It's an intriguing thought.
If Green is the power forward long term then McGee is definitely better for the team. I like Ibaka more as a player overall, I think he's got a better head on his shoulders. As basketball-dumb Ibaka can look at times, McGee is 100x worse.
It is a lot easier to find a productive PF than a productive C, though. I think it's a fair trade that would be worth it depending on the direction the team decides to head with Green and its cap flexibility. McGee would be due for an extension a year earlier than Ibaka, also.

Re: Javal McGee on the block?
I think that Ibaka is really starting to develop nicely. Lets not forget this guy was drafted as a project and is only 21 years old. He has shown with little BBIQ that he can dominate a game defensively and he is starting to develop offensively.
I have seen McGee on the NBA Bloopers for missing dunks and running over guys trying to go coast to coast. Mcgee appears to think that he is more than what he really is judging by his 10 shots in 1 minute in the team USA scrimmage, which lead to his immediate cutting even tho the team was in desperate need of a Center.
I think that Ibaka can give the thunder a 15 pt to 18 pt scorer with 10 rebs and 2 or 3 blocks in the NBA. The guy has a soft touch and he is as athletic as they come. I think that Mcgee would demand to much in a trade only because he is 7'0 . I don't think that Mcgee can be upgrade because he doesn't have a back to the basket game and appear to be just like the rest of the 7 foot solid bigs. Nothing spectacular. I could see Ibaka turning into a Amare type PF if he can continue to develop. I love Ibaka defense first and 100% effort and i don't think you trade that away for a dream or a project.

Re: Javal McGee on the block?
To trade Ibaka for McGee is taking 3 steps forward and 5 steps back. It is just not worth it. The Thunder have other assets that the Wiz could b interested in. Like the clippers first round pick, the Thunder's first pick this year, players like Mullens, White, and expiring deals. I am sure Presti can put something like that the Wiz will like there. The Wiz are just so far away that basically the only player on that team is Wall. They need to build around him now.
Also remember Sam really likes Kevin Sephran as well.

1+
Or we can just wait till next free agent and try to pick up, Marc Gasol or DeAndre Jordan or Samuel Dalembert. Easy ain't it?

I don't think you have an understanding of McGee's value to Washington.
Care to provide some explanation to your step theory?

Re: Javal McGee on the block?
If the Wiz don't like that package that is fine. But, to trade Ibaka for a guy w/ a low bbiq and will need a new contract after next season it just dosent make sense to OKC. The Wiz are in total rebuilding mode. If they are willingto give him q new contract that is fine. But, they traded Gil because they did not want the bad influence on Wall. N' McGee n' Blatche are fighting at a night club in the middle of a season. There is no reason to move Ibaka who has two years left on his deal who fits the system for an unknown. I understan the Wiz might think more of McGee but @ the end of the day if you are rebuliding 2 first roun picks for a guy you do not want around your organization is a decent offer. Take it or leave it. I am fine w/ Kristic @ C.

If you're fine with Kristic, then why start this thread and state the above?
Don't you want a guy who will actually work and if so, then why not give the value necessary to get him?
Who cares if you have to give someone a new contract, if that is the player that works and makes your team better.
I think further research might reveal that McGee isn't as available as you suggest. Washington likes him, he's young, productive and improving, much like Ibaka.
