my offer:
Lopez, Childress, 1st rounder, cash..

this way, we give Grizzlies a young C with some hopeful youth for next year and cash for free agency. in return, we get a dominant rebounder with a good shooting range, while dumping an extra SF.
this clears up our roster and rotation. makes

Nash-Dragic
Carter-Dudley
Hill-Peitris
Randolph-Warrick
Gortat-Frye

imagine that roster.. wow. instant contender.

Best case scenario is Gortat turns into a 20/10 center and Frye makes his 3's, other than that I don't see very many appetizing moves......as I mentioned above I hope I'm wrong. Other than that I am really getting tired of watching this team this year, it would be much more exciting to watch all the young guys have at it rather than to piecemeal together a bunch of spare parts.

Gortat, the man who has 15 career double digit games turning into a 20/10. It's good to dream.

I agree that 20/10 is not realistic but you're maybe being a little harsh no? He's been in the league for 3 years prior to this season and averaged 7, 12 and 13 minutes respectively. I think if he gets the minutes 10 and 10 would be very realistic, and depending on his minutes/role maybe even a little better, 10 and 12 or 12 and 12.

Having said that he's already notched double digits in his second game here.

I think both Lopez and Gortat are both ideal centers to pair with star and/or superstar scoring powerforward types. Lopez did great when paired with Amare Stoudemire and I'm sure Gortat would've as well. Even though Randolph puts up very good scoring and rebounding numbers I've never been a big fan. I certainly don't see him ideal on a Nash led team (big post players never are ideal with Nash and his love for the pick and roll) He also is not a good defender and is a black hole on offense. Not good for the Suns and their preference for effective ball movement. Pass on Randolph. Josh Smith, Al Hortford, or as a much cheaper gamble Anthony Randolph - Those players would be better fits IMO. I want youth on a team with Steve Nash (36) Grant Hill (38) and Vince Carter (33). Randolph is 29, same age as Richardson who we just traded.

IMHO, Suns are at very last moment to trade Nash... Hard, but... Suns will never step up with him at point, no more. He's playing last season as a leader, hopefully he can be a nice backup next season.
I know, fans loving Nash, Nash making rena sold out, blah blah blah. Suns need to trade him, even for some deadmeat and picks. Honestly, this season seems to be lost, 1st round of PO is more than a dream...
Who can we trade for Nash? Only a guy from a title-contending team. Celts, Lakers, Heat, Orlando, Spurs, maybe Jazz... Only a team targeting for rings RIGHT NOW can add Nash to roster. Nobody else. Look at the rosters of that teams. Do You see anybody to trade for Nash? Hmmmm... So, I'll take a trade for Mr. Nobody and picks from any low-rated team.
IMO, trade with Nash is all that we can expect now.
Offense wins games, Defense wins championships...

And got absolutely schooled on the defensive end in the first half. I thought that was his claim to fame.

I really don't think so. He's had plenty of games where he's had big minutes. Enough to have done more than he has. I'm not saying that he's had big minutes but even a decent scorer would have put up better numbers than that. Even Lou had something like 11 games last year in double figures and scored twenty in one game. Sorry, but his stats are telling to me.

since gentry doesn't trust goran at all, better trade dragic while he still has some value.

some pgs or combo guards to consider as possible backup for steve nash until the suns draft another pg (the eventual recplacement for steve) in the lottery next season:
dragic for kenyon dooling
dragic for mike bibby or jeff teague
dragic for luke ridnour
dragic for jordan farmar
dragic for jose barea
dragic & lawal for beno udrih
dragic & childress for hinrich
dragic & lawal for
dragic for jarett jack
dragic for patrick mills or armon johnson
dragic for steve blake
dragic for shaun livingston
dragic for will bynum
dragic and studley for rodney stuckey
dragic for nate robinson
dragic & lawal for jerryd bayless
dragic & siler for lou williams
dragic for toney douglas
pardon my english, coz my english sux!

Is there any interest in a Lopez - Hill/Bud/Filler swap? HOU can't trade any more picks other than the Top-1 protected NYK pick.

Scola is 30, turning 31 in April. I know people like to exaggerate but comon, his game doesn't rely on athleticism and 31 isn't that old. With that being said, I don't think that the Rockets will trade Scola unless he's packaged for a star.

JohnVancouver: peace :) no problemo :)

Back to PF: probably a guy like Jason Maxiel will be enough to make Suns more comfortable in the paint... Suns need force, strenght, D, physical presence. You win confidence with with good D. Yes, you can be confident scoring some alls in a row, but it's just for a moment - you miss a shot and it's over. But, when you let opponent score - you're angry. Angry - you want fight him again. And it goes, and it goes, and it goes. One, two good moves in D and you're soooooo confident... So, Maxiel will be OK. And Suns can trade him just for Warrick, maybe + cash or 2nd round pick...

I hope the Suns don't try to acquire "ME-BO". He has proven to be a self fulfilling stat machine, his own. He has not made any of the players, in Portland or in New York any better. Portland did'nt want him around Aldridge and he and lil Nate Robinson had to be separated during a game. In both places, the verdict was that ME-BO was akin to an the astronomical phenomena known as a "Black Hole"; if he gets the pass, whether double or triple teamed, he is taking the shot. His Defense is nothing to write home about and the Suns would be doing a "Stephon Marbury" REDUX, a ME-BO highlight film every night but Golfing during the playoffs.
