GT: Spurs vs. Mavericks

When: 9:30 PM ET, December 30, 2010
Where: American Airlines Center, Dallas, TX

Starting Lineups:

Spurs:
PG - Tony Parker
SG - Manu Ginobli
SF - Richard Jefferson
PF - Tim Duncan
C - Dejuan Blair

Mavericks:
PG - Jason Kidd
SG - DeShawn Stevenson
SF - Caron Butler
PF - Dirk Nowitzki
C - Tyson Chandler

We're coming off a huge win against the Lakers to play another tough game against our division rivals the Mavericks. Dirk's listed as day-to-day but I think he's going to play. If he does Duncan and Dyce are going to have to play great. We're also going to need another big performance from our bench, Neal and Hill are going to have to play great for us to win this one.

Go Spurs!!

Dirk will likely play but I really don't think he'll be fully healed from that ankle sprain. Either way, I'm not feeling too good about this game either. It's at their place, Dirk should be back, and they just lost to Toronto today. They should be extra motivated. And we just won againts the b2b champion. I'm worried we don't take this game seriously because we were so focused (and now relieved) from the Lakers game.

The good thing is that we lost our last game againts them so we should be looking for revenge.

Don't know about this one. Hope we take it to them. I hate losing to the Mavs.

I think the Spurs are going to put more focus on this game than they did last time. That being said+ if Dirk's not playing, we have a good chance to win.
Evn though i would like to beat Dallas team at 100% of their posibilities..

b2b Dallas and OKC great schedule..

I want Dirk to play. Spurs have a better chance of coming out focused if the Mavs are at full strength.

We need this win to get some seperation between us and the rest in the west. Heck Boston finally lost so we can gain a game on them too.

I'm not confident on the Boston game. We'll be playing on the 2nd game of b2b and on the road going from New York to Boston. Even if we walk all over New York, I'd still doubt we win. We don't exactly do well on 2nd game of b2b.

You guys will smash the Mavs, I don't see why so many rug rats here ( not this board but mostly the GB) think the Mavs are some vaunted team. With so many playoff failures most notably to teams with no centers, this team will be hard pressed to beat anybody with some interior presence mainly you guys and us.

Good luck.

Man you could not have said it any better! Dirk has been n will continue to be a choke artist in big games along with the JET.

BTW, Spurs are looking good! Tonight n all season long...i like how they play their same game against all the diff styles of other teams

Can the Spurs just destroy the Mavs so DIRK can get more MVP votes? If the Mavs lose all the games DIRK doesn't play in it will show the media and everyone how invaluable he is.

GO SPURS! (for tonight)

Okay... I don't think any of us here cares about the MVP award. I personally don't mind Dirk winning it because I believe most Spurs fans have huge respect for Dirk. We'll take a win no matter what the circumstances.

Ok, Gary Neal really has been an awesome addition. He has filled it up tonight. The Spurs are not shooting well, but they still are in control.

Good win. I don't care who's missing with injury, we've lost games over the years when we didn't have our main guys. Heck, we lost in the 1st round in '09 with Manu out.

I'll take it.

Manu's broken nose doomed us last year as well. Looks like we are gonna catch the Celts while they are a little dinged up.
