Heard Kobe on Dan Patrick while he was on his suppose boycott of the media, guess it was just print media. Anyway he said it hurts every time he catches the ball, seems it got re injured during that game in Philly. I think the reason he opted not to do surgery was because the doctor probably told him recovery is maybe longer than 2 months or so. If this is the case he would miss the start of camp, something tells me this correlates with Drew having to miss camp too. Maybe Kobe knew the team wouldn't fair well without both out to start the season.
Just guessing but let's say both was out, our starting 5 would probably have been......
C: Gasol
PF: Odom
SF: Artest
SG: Barnes or Brown
PG: Fisher
Kinda of flawed line up to me, means Pau goes back to being "the man" a role he's only comfortable with in a limited amount of time. I know somebody will argue this but his Memphis track record will tell the story along with we know what happens when he takes the beating in the 5 spot.
Also if that happened we never trade Sasha, he would've been needed for depth.....damn figure that ?
Or Phil would've had to play Devin more along with DC too, no if's and's or but's about that one.
Something tells me Kobe thought about all that and like Flava Flav said "Can't trust it" !
