Then add in how he is sometimes totally ignored on offense and the fatigue can creep into the mind. If you get touches then you stay focused more easily.

Homie is taking almost 15 shots a game.... for someone who as of lately is hovering barely above 30%, I think he needs less, not more touches. He needs to focus less on scoring and more on defense, rebounding, and distributing (he seems quite good at that for a C).

You realize you are quoting a post from 2 weeks ago?

Probably not.

Fair enough. I'm still not wrong though.

Getting consistent touches has nothing to do with shot attempts.

He has to do a lot of shooting from too far at the end of a shot clock because the system has him at the elbow (17-19 feet) and cutters aren't getting open. He doesn't get enough touches in the deep post.

Well over the last 2 weeks, he's getting 12+ shots a game. It follows that he's getting at least 12+ touches, more considering he doesn't shoot every time.

I agree it could be the type of touches he gets (IE he should get more low post, less high-post / beyond the arc), but I just don't think volume is the problem.

from my seat in section 19, Hibbert seems to be used to much in the low post and not enough in the high post where he can use his passing ability better. in any event, 55 sure went into a slump after the JOB quote. yet another example of how you can spoil a player's confidence by saying publicly what should only be said in private. I think we need to stop trying to get Granger to be a vocal leader, he just doesn't fit that role, and let Roy take over that role. he sure was supporting PG's good play yesterday.

Again Volume does NOT equal CONSISTENT. There are times where he doesnt even touch the ball after working his but off to get good position THEN running back and forth a few more times without a touch. Sometimes he is not even involved at all. It weighs on the mind and fatigue can creep in even if you arent ' tired ' which can cause a player to struggle when they do touch the ball.

(2) Hibbert often bends over way to low in the post.. which causes him to lose his advantage of height and reach. It also slows down your post moves and makes it hard to use an believable fake.
