Last year I didn't think Love/Darko looked great. Now I do. Give it time.

Re: Beasley and Darko co-existing?
I'm all for giving it time, I've just been noticing it all season and wondered if anyone else did too.
Points probably aren't the best way to express this but I couldn't think of a way to statistically show that they flip flop deferring to each other. Shot attempts was better, but it still doesn't show much. Maybe someone does individual game usage rates? That might be better.

We need a great floor general at PG who will put other guys in position to succeed and will feed the hot hand. Actually, every team needs one

The only problem I see is on the relation Darko-Ridnour. I don't think they like each other very much.

Re: Beasley and Darko co-existing?
Interesting topic, but I think the point about Darko only having 5 games above 16 points really is the evidence needed to say it's a topic with no real teeth.
Side question, I see people were saying the two were inconsistent and then someone said Beasley is very inconsistent.
I guess my question is then, what is everyone's definition of inconsistent then? No 20 point scorer scores 20 every game, and at any stretch in any players season you can see where they struggled for a stretch.
Last 6 games Beasley scored over twenty is 5 of them.
Love on the other hand in the last 6 scored over twenty in only 3 of them, and yet I never see the inconsistent label tossed around with Kevin. Is there a double standard perhaps?

He consistently gets rebounds. As of right now, Beasley's main contribution is points, and if he isnt scoring well, he isnt producing above what one of our bench guys could do

On a night Beasley struggles offensively he still must be accounted for obviously, not the case with a "bench guy". Not everything shows up in a stat line.

You dont have to account for Webster?
I really havent seen Beasley get extra special attention when his offensive game is off. I dont think he gets or has shown he deserves that respect yet.

Re: Beasley and Darko co-existing?
Ok, how's this.
Using the same San An-Golden State two stand, we can see that against San Antonio Darko had a 35.6 USG% to Beasley's 24.1%. The next game Darko had a 23.3% to Beasley's 44.5%. I think this is closer to what I was trying to say, which was that they seem to defer to each other in alternating games.

Hmmm. I agree that there isn't a great relationship here, but I think it is purely basketball wise. I bet they like each other fine, I just don't think they play well together. Which is why I still believe we need a PG who sets other people up.

Re: Beasley and Darko co-existing?
3 things:
wes Johnson seems like the most willing passer to Darko in the post (Luke Ridnour the most unwilling),
Love and Darko work really well on offense (darko usually finds Love a few times down low and vice-versa)
I too noticed the Beaz-Darko thing but as of late they have both been playing well. I really believe neither care about touches, I think they both just want wins and minutes (but maybe I'm dreaming)
and finally:
Darko is a rock down low, getting him touches in the post is getting us consistent results. It's fun to watch the guy work down low

Re: Beasley and Darko co-existing?
darko did have a nice pass to beas off the right block as beas cut baseline and almost(should have) got a 3 point play, but went to the line. i agree that they both just wanna win, we need to find a happy medium and balance, but ride who ever is hot on a given night

Greco, Minny loses 90% of games when Darko plays very good offensively ,regardless Love/Beasleys game.
Well there are many interpretations to that 90% of an L. Maybe if we break down Darko's shooting percentage during those nights he might be the reason. But its unfair to blame a guy especially a night he is hot.

Guys i really think Minni has a problem with rotations in General. That iss the root cause of losses and loosing rhythm. I strongly believe that is either Rambis weakest link or he is more interested in developing players at the moment. You see some Minnesota lineups that struggle on the floor and most of the mistakes are mainly team defense and poor off the ball movement.
I believe that the rotations should be given more attention. Especially late in the game when you bring a guy of the bench not to change things but because your starter got tired or in foul trouble. There is where Minnesota is slumping.
